First go-to tool
Works great and fits in pocket. This is my first go-to tool when I enter a job site. I go around and test all the jacks to alert a problem before it turns into a bigger issue. Super simple. Just plug it in and watch for the green light. Also tells if wires reversed with a red light but I haven't encountered that one yet.

Great little product, especially for the price
This product is really simple to use, but it needs to come with a little bit more detailed instruction booklet. I had to do some research on the web to have a better understanding of what the different indicators were telling me. I really only needed it to determine if I was using a switch or mid span that was giving me a mode a comma or mode me type POE connection

A must have product for testing
A must have for testing for active Lan lines.... that can damage low voltage equipment. Works nice and is easy to keep with you.

It works. All of these PoE Passive testers are the same internally. Pick one on price. This one is nice and small and works as expected.

An inexpensive and very convenient no-frills POE voltage tester
I often have to troubleshoot why an IP security camera isn't working, so my first check is for POE voltage at the switch or injector and then at the end of its ethernet cable where it plugs into the camera. If there is no power at any of those points, I have a good starting point for fixing the problem. This tester's small size and simple readout make it especially helpful if I am up on a ladder checking the end of an ethernet cable.
