Electrical Black Book (2nd USA Edition)

This is a must have for every Electrician. I bought it because my student has it. It has everything that’s needed so I bought it for two of my coworkers and they love it. I recommend this very highly. It’s better than the ugly book.

More comprehensive than uglys, only downside is it pulls info from slightly older NEC codes from 2017-19 where uglys has a 2023 edition. But still a great book to have.

I've had this book for all of one day and I already am in love with it. There is just so much useful information in here, so easy to access. Just about anything electric, from house wiring to circuit board design, this has all of the information you would need. I am mixed about the quality though. The pages themselves are actually pretty nice. They feel sturdy. In the pics, one page measured 0.1mm, and a stack of ten measured 1.0mm. They also have a sort of waxy covering too. It's hard to describe, but they feel like they should hold up to dirt/grease/water well enough. But onto the downsides in quality. The spiral binding was deformed a bit when I got it. It's not a super strong piece of metal either. The stacks of pages don't line up super well. But, that's almost purely aesthetic. It doesn't affect flipping through the book, just annoys me. Last thing to note are the tabs. They do not come pre attached, which is really annoying. I spent twenty minutes putting them on and they still did not come out even. Also, three are missing; Electrical Tools & Testers ; Index ; Glossary. The last two aren't really important and plenty of blanks are included. But again, three are going to stick out as different. So while the few quality issues do bother me, I don't think they are severe enough to deduct a star. The amount of information and convenience this book offers is just too good. Please make a chemistry/lab/science black book!!

I'm love this book and the other books in the Information Series I ordered I really love all this info and it helps, since I have brain damage and a TBI it is hard for me to remember stuff now, but I have a quick reference to the information I always need !!! I love it !!!

It have everything you can think of. Very informational and it’s simple and to the point. This is definitely going in my tool bag. I am still in trade school but this book will go far especially for certain things I can’t remember off the top of my head. Def recommend to electricians.

This book is quite small! It's about as tall as a TI-84 calculator and maybe an inch wider. This is great, however, for pocket use and easy benchtop to benchtop access. Those who are farsighted may feel the text is too small, though. It's got all the formula in there, symbols, loads, conversions. I think this is a must-have for any electrician or electrical engineer. Plus, the pages are matte-laminated which gives it a great look and feel.
