Technical Analysis Demystified: A Self-Teaching Guide

This book jumps right in to meaty subjects and examples in technical analysis. It's not the best first book because it assumes the reader being up to speed on a lot of the basics of technical analysis and trading in general...I first read this and then realized that I need some basic background first and then read "Technical Analysis for Dummies" cover-to-cover. After having understood the information in that book, then this book by Constance Brown made more sense and made it a lot easier to apply the ideas in it to my stock trading. If you like the game of the market, this is going to help you play more successfully.

Good source of self learning.

I've read most if not all of Ms Brown's work and I must admit this is best and most approachable introduction to her system to date. It is totally incredible the updates to her system that she reveals here, without stating such as is his way, which have helped me in countless ways. Once again Ms Brown, as I've said many times before, HURRRAH. Highly recommended for all traders though of course beginners may not grasp everything in it because they don't have so much to "unlearn".

It is a book very difficult to understand. It doesn't really explain in details on the methods. I've tired using the methods on other charts, testing all the peaks and tough but nothing similar of such accuracy were found. To understand more, I had got the book Fibonacci Analysis by the same author, this book is the same.The book keeps saying drawing the Fibonacci retracement from peak to tough if want to find support and vice-versa. If I do this method, my Fibonacci % ratio is upside down showing the peak to be 100% and tough 0% which is not right and different from what is illustrated in the chart The chart in the book showing the % ratio similar to mine when I draw the Fibonacci retracement the opposite as what the author has written. I'm using MT4 and not sure of what trading platform the author uses.There is a lot of theory which was not explained in detail and I doubt anyone reading it can understand and really put them into real trading application. I'm reading both books on Kindle and it is really difficult to go back and forth between charts. Also the many of the charts don't really link in a way readers can grasp it and understand what the author is trying to say.I've read many trading books and found books by this author is the most difficult to understand and methods taught are not in explained in detailed and don't really works like it claimed. i've tried different chart, testing all peaks and toughs to draw boxes, fibonnaci retracement/expansion and nothing of similar results is obtained.i've read the books many times and tried testing in in real chart and they don't really work like the way it claimed.The author explains things breifly and keep saying will explain in detail in other chapters or books but after reading thos chapters and/or books, i feel that things are not explained clearly enough. Even i tried trying an error to find same scernario in real live chart it doesn't work.

This book will benefit those who are beginners and want to learn what is a technical analysis.other books are a lot better to guide the novice.

Written for all levels of traders, with complete topics of charting fundamentals. It is a good reference for stock price analysis.

Constance Brown takes what is suppose to be an easy book to understand and conceptualize into an overly complicate arduous task. I found myself after each chapter failing the included test, at the end of each chapter, and having no idea what it was I was supposed to be learning in regards to Technical Analysis. I personally believe Constance has issues with her ego and has allowed that to put her into the frame of mind that she has to show how much she knows about Technical Analysis, and unfortunately she has lost sight of the Demystified book's purpose in making uncommonly known subjects easy for just about anyone to grasp. I dropped out of her Book, and school of thought after about 7 chapters, because again I realized I had no clue about what it was I was supposed to know after 7 out of 9 chapters. Here's my suggestion go purchase Martin Pring's Introduction to Technical Analysis. I'm currently on the last chapter, and from start to finish I've learned and grown over the past weeks. When I trade know I have more confidence in my Technical Analysis to the point where in recent trades I've skipped out on Fundamental Analysis altogether. Martin Pring's book has been a pleasure to read. So skip the headache and the confusion, and please take heed to my suggestion.
