Replace the converter vs buying a new lighting accessory altogether
My faux Japanese LED cherry tree (that was already overpriced BEFORE this inflation nonsense happened...again) started flickering one day. Well, I went to check the plug (this thing) and it was VERY hot. So, I unplugged the tree and ordered one of these off of the original 24V converter part number. Works like a charm vs. ordering a new $200+ faux tree light. The plug is a "waterproof" one (okay...) where it connects to the main harness; think like the rope lights you find at home stores or during holiday sales but cheaper plastic. It is keyed, thankfully. Otherwise, this could cost less for the cheap, molded housing...maybe could be something that dissipates heat from the converter. The original on the tree light thing lasted...about 4-5 year, so I'll expect about the same.

I bought this to replace the one I had. Attached it to the cord and nothing happened. I tried it several times but nothing definitely not a power source: UPDATE: SELLER DID GIVE REFUND!

Kept the Palm Tree
This was for our outside lit Palm Tree. We did not have to discard it, but changed the adapter. Works perfectly!

Our outdoor ‘twig’ Christmas tree is working again! We didn’t need to buy a whole new tree, just needed to replace the adapter. As others have mentioned it doesn’t look like the adapter pictured, but it still works.
