The coat has a sturdy zipper as well as snaps, whichever is your preference. The fabric feels soft and supple instead of stiff as I thought it might be. The fabric is supple and shiny, lightweight, but waterproof. The quality is worthy of Helly-Hansen. The XS size fits me well, long enough to be good in the rain, but not so long as to get in the way during walks. Also, roomy enough to put a sweater or thin puffer vest under it.
