Not too difficult to install. My husband didn’t even remove the patio door we put it in. It took about 2 hours. The doggie door is wonderful for our 55 lb GSP. I wish we’d bought it 2 years ago! It closes securely after he goes in/out. It will make a little noise from the double flaps. Nevertheless, those flaps keep the air, Texas heat, and elements from the outside out, and our ac in! The cover is great and easy to put on when the whole family leaves.

Love the pet doors - we are spoiled as well as our dogs as they have access to the fenced yard anytime they need or want and we don't have to worry about getting home to let them out. The extra foam flap is a benefit as we live in Alaska and need the extra weather protection. My only wish is that they had a slide in block for the door (like the single door) when it is not needed. The plastic cap just isn't enough (put on one side - inside the door - could use one on the outside as well) as the dogs don't know when it is up (hidden on the inside) and will scratch and paw at the outside flaps to get back in. SO! if anyone has a solution to this - that would be very cool.

I had a friend install the door and he did it in less than an hour. He didn't take the door off it's hinges as was recommended, but it appears that the door is installed correctly. I like the triple flap as it keeps most drafts and elements outside. There was one day when the winds were blowing about 35 mph and the flap did get moved. There is a cover that snaps on. It's the one thing I like least about the door as it is very difficult to remove once it is in place. But - when it is properly secured, my dog (a 60 lb pitbull) cannot budge it - and he really tries! I don't know that the cover would keep out an intruder, but the cover definitely would prevent wind or rain from coming in. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the door and would likely purchase it again - but I've only had it for 6 weeks, so ask again in a year!

My husband is a carpenter so this was easy enough for him to install. We bought it for a wall knowing we might have to modify it. The only pieces that weren’t wide enough were the plastic tunnel inserts for the wall. (These frame the tunnel between the inner & outer door.) He did frame the tunnel with 2x4s first and then measured and cut a couple plastic tote lids to protect the wood. This worked perfectly and will be easy to clean any moisture/dirt. The dogs are already using it. It has a two heavy plastic flaps that close with magnets and an insulated flap inside. It’s a little heavy but our puppy and our elderly dog are both using it already. And I’m thrilled with how heat/weather resistant it is. I doubt our cats can push it open, but we’ll see. Installation requires the right tools/expertise. Update: we still love this door—it’s great in the hot weather—little to no heat comes in! The cats absolutely won’t use it. It is heavy but also they can’t see through it.

We went through 3 doggie doors until we found this one. It closes without leaving gaps (we have mosquitoes) and our really old dog easily got used to using it. My husband didn’t have trouble installing it into our metal back door. I highly recommend this door!

This was bought as a replacement for the original one, which lasted us many years. It finally broke from our big girl flying through it. I would definitely purchase if you are thinking about it.

This dog door was able to be installed on my RV door. We did have to remove our screen door, but I bought a velcro mesh screen in place of it. The dog door is well insulated with the 3 flaps and it reseals nicely when the pups go in and out. I'm very happy with it.

The flaps don’t always close perfect but my cats and dog use it just fine. It’s nice and tall so my 80lb lab fits through perfectly ! Easy install

Perfect size for our standard poodles. Was way more fiddly to install than the other single door one but we managed. It doesn’t stay closed in very strong winds so we’re a bit disappointed with that but still better than the single door. The dogs use it happily as they were used to the other one that is in the flyscreen door now. We are happy with it.
