Technically, yes it does, but the "S" hooks are slightly too narrow for the typical coffee mug handles, so the mug ends up hanging awkwardly. So: yes, but I wouldn't be comfortable doing it. Of course you could widen the bell of the hooks, but they are very stiff and strong (designed to take the weight of a large cast-iron pan), so it would take some work (and a good vise). **Q: Which rail set do you get? The picture shows 2 types--one shows the round (circle) mount, and the other shows a rectangular mount.** A: We just received a set identical to the first picture with round end plates (mounts) and the rod has a bend radius of about .75 inch. **Q: what is the exact diameter of the rail? is that standard?** A: 10mm in diameter or .38 inch **Q: Are these strong enough to hold wet bath towels?** A: I believe they are. I'm using three of the bars with three trios of the Bygel Containers, and plan to create an indoor herb garden with them. One bar has been mounted on the side of my cabinets for use with dish towels and hand towels. The remaining two bars were perfect for a DIY project my husband and I did to create hanging pot racks with lid storage. I'm very pleased with how all of the bars are functioning -- they are strong (one bar has a total of 5 cast iron pans hanging from it and hasn't bowed or warped in any way), attractive (I love the brushed finish), and able to be used in a multitude of ways.The S-Hooks are nice, but I would like them more if they were slightly larger. They're also quite difficult to bend (we wanted to crimp one end of them to prevent them from slipping off the rail when we remove pots from them), but that is just a statement on how strong they are. If you are planning to use these bars for a herb garden with the Bygel Containers, my tip would be to hot glue in the holes at the bottom of the container to prevent leakage from the pots. Create drainage (cut a plastic cup, etc.) and they still work well.I'd highly recommend these bars to anyone looking for functional kitchen rails. I know that the price is a bit high here on Amazon compared to in the store, where two rails and two packs of S hooks cost about $8, but for me it beats having to drive 4+ hours to get to an IKEA. I returned it, got an instant refund from Amazon, and ordered a replacement, which arrived in fine condition with all the hooks. Mine appear to be stainless steel, but in any case are NOT coated with some sort of grey paint as one reviewer complained of; the steel finish is very nice and would fit in well in a professional kitchen. The rails do not come with any screws or fasteners; I used #12 x 1.5 inch round-head screws, three into wall studs and one with a drywall anchor into the wallboard. Don't cheap out on getting the right hardware if you're going to hang heavy cast iron pans like I do; you'll want to make sure the screws won't pull out.These rails are solid, have a clean professional appearance, and are a very good value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for kitchens *by on Reviewed in the United States October 16, 2015* These are really great for kitchens. They're understated and the nickle finish is nice.They're very easy to install and you can hang quite a lot on them with no bowing issues. The hooks are great, though they're a little too thick to go through a few handle holes in some pans. I got around this by kind of balancing the handle holes on the hooks and didn't have issues with things falling off.
