Treluxe, Styling Gel High Definition Curl, 8 Ounce

TLDR: durable, worth the price, works well, isn’t heavy, smells nice, manages curly hair. This hair gel is absolutely fantastic. It keeps my hair curly and shiny for days, so the durability is great. It’s not heavy on my hair and it’s definitely worth the price. It also smells nice, which I appreciate. It doesn’t cause greasiness so long as I don’t wait days between washes. My hair is naturally curly, so it’s good for managing my hair. To give you some context, I use this on wet hair. I don’t blow dry my hair. I use this gel while my hair is wet and put it up in a towel. Then I let my hair dry overnight and wake up with perfect curls, no frizz. I also use keratin oil after waking up and even while doing that, my hair isn’t greasy or oily.

It gives me curls. And not stiffness.

I absolutely love the Treluxe high definition gel. It works incredibly well with all the hot and humid days here in Michigan. This product keeps my hair, frizz free all day long. You don’t need to use a lot of product for it to work. It’s magic plus if you need more volume just use your hairdryer. I highly recommend.

Was a little skeptical. This gel is lightweight and holds my curl better than any other product and I’ve tried many. I use it with the reflex serum. Really like what it does for my curly on the bottom and straighter frizzy on top hair. Cuts the frizz and gives me a nice curl and shine. Moisturizes my hair.

I’ve tried every curly hair product out there and now I finally understand the hype- it’s everything they claimed it was and more! 🙌🏼 My curls have never looked so good in my life and that’s with almost zero effort! I purchased and have been using both the serum and this gel so I will probably add this review to the serum as well. I know some ppl say use just a little but for me personally, I need a liberal amount of each product to have my curls look amazing! And I have fine hair and it doesn’t weigh it down at all. I’ll be a fan for life! 😊

Unfortunately, this was not what I had hoped. I have curly hair and have been using products that I get good results with, but wanted to simplify my routine, at least for the summer months. I started by using the Re Flex product to refresh my curls the day after wash day, and was happy with the results I achieved. So, I decided to try using the gel with the Re Flex on a wash day instead of my usual brand this week. The result left a lot to be desired. My curls looked limp and lifeless, when they are usually healthy, bouncy and full of life! Also of note, is that the fragrance is super overpowering when this stuff is wet. The strong scent mellow out a bit once it dries however. I am so disappointed in this products performance as I have seen several videos where it appeared to work well for those people...mileage may vary, I guess?!

I was not as pleased with this as it was advertised to be. Every video advertisement I have seen on how to use this product and how long it clams to last (days), was not the expectations I had with my hair. Instead of adding more bounce to my curly hair it weighed it down. It made my hair very sticky to comb.
