I used this Camco RV gate valve in combination with their black tank rinser wand while cleaning out our black tank, and the results were excellent. Together, they allowed for a controlled, thorough flush that completely removed buildup and fully restored accurate tank sensor readings. Being able to see what’s happening through the built-in clear adapter adds confidence and takes the guesswork out of the process. The valve installs easily, seals well, and the four bayonet prongs create a secure connection. It’s now part of our regular tank maintenance routine after every camping trip for both black and gray tanks. This is a well-designed, practical tool that makes proper flushing easier and more effective. I highly recommend it to all RV owners who want to maintain their tanks correctly and avoid sensor issues.

Needed this very much. I like being able to see if there is going to be a surprise of "water" when I remove the cap. It helped us because of a leaking valve on our system. It was repaired but we still use this for peace of mind. Works great and easy to install. It really is nice quality and looks to be heavy duty.

This has saved me already. I thought my black water tank was empty but I just wasn’t level. I was able to see that I accidentally left my valve open and I was able to avoid getting black water all over me. Fast forward my friend calls me and this exact scenario happened to him. The functionality of this is perfect, the construction of it is strong, and the plastic material feels thick and able to resist any dings it may get on the road. Installation was easy with the instructions.

Works great. Our 5th wheel has a good section of dump pipe after the valves leading to it always a mess when I took off the cap. This solved it.

This thing is a lifesaver. My original drain has been leaking some after a few days, and I was not looking forward to taking the pipes apart to install a new cut off. This just attached to the existing holder and works wonderfully. It does not extend past the side of the trailer, so I don't have to worry about it getting knocked off.

Absolutely an outstanding purchase. A few weeks ago, I was surprised with a gallon or two of stinky stuff when I removed the outlet cap. I didn't find anything leaking, but obviously it had. With the clear pipe on the upstream side of the valve, you can tell if their is a leak, but it also allows you to hook up to your dump hose without being exposed to waste. On my trailer, it does protrude a bit, but I do not consider that an issue.

I would give this 6 stars if I could. I have a new RV with cable operated black and grey gate valves. The black water valve stuck open when I was draining my tank. To replace the valve I will need to remove the under cover and it looks to be a major amount of work. For a fix to keep me camping I ordered this gate valve to install on the sewer hose connector and allow me to gate the black water. It worked great for this and everyone should have one to protect yourself if the primary gate valve fails. Why 6 stars? I had no idea what it took to really empty the black water tank until I had this clear window to see what was draining. I run the tank flush several times and it is surprising how many times it takes to clear all the waste from the black water tank. This alone is worth twice the price of the valve. I have owned an RV and been a regular camper for 30+ years. This is the first item to really impress me in a long time. Every RV should come with this valve.

This is a good product made with decent parts. The clear viewing tube lets you see what is happening inside the pipe, which helps you know how clean you have flushed your tanks, or if you need to do another rinse. It provides a third valve to catch any liquid that may leak past your grey or black valves. The small area in front of the valve only holds a small volume of liquid, so if this valve should leak the mess is small when you open the cover. The cover snaps on well and seems to be made of a tough nylon material, giving a solid feel to the locking hooks. On my rig the sewer outlet is in too far from the side of the trailer, so this brings the hose out to a easier location to deal with. Super item!

After years of terrible troubles with the valves in my trailer, this has been a godsend. Absolutely wonderful. The little clear plastic section allows me to view if there’s any product on the other side of the valve. The valve seals perfectly not a drop. I leave my sewage and gray water fully open now and I exclusively use this. I almost never leave reviews, but this is great.
