Great opener
Works great. Just be sure you BUY A NEW BATTERY, whether you think it is good or not. Ours was pretty new and we checked the cells, gate opener would not work, changed the battery and worked like a champ. It actually said in the instructions, to purchase a new battery.

Great System, easy to install, works well.
Purchased this Mighty Mule Gate Operator, together with the 10w Solar panel (MF123), Battery Case and batteries (FM150), some extra remotes, and the wireless keypad and goose neck mounting post. Instructions were straightforward, and very understandable. I also used the "Bilt" app, which had some helpful tips beyond what was in the instructions. All in all, it took me far longer to design and fabricate the mounting for our 6-5/8" fence posts than it did to install the operator, controller and battery. Installation of those was easy, although digging a post hole for the remote keyboard post was a bear due to our soil (Adobe Clay, like concrete in the summer!). Everything works very well, the remote keyboard even has light up keys for night time operation. Pretty happy to not have to get out of he golf cart or truck every time I head down to the shop. Thanks Mighty Mule, was really pleased with your system.

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE OPENER!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
Over the past 17 year, I have purchased multiple Mighty Mule gate openers (the MM350 and later the MM360), as they only last about three years at most, due to a design flaw in the arm allowing moisture to accumulate and corrode the board within. After about two years, the latest arm died in September 2022 and I was dismayed to find that the MM360 model had been discontinued and the only similar replacement was this much more expensive MM371W. However, I was hopeful that the new design of having the control board in a separate weatherproof box might justify the additional expense and thereby give the arm a longer lifespan. This opener began giving off an error code beep indicating that the battery was low, after only a month of use. After verifying that the wiring was properly connected, I assumed the battery to be the problem and took it to the auto parts store where I had purchased it and their testing revealed it to be fine. I returned home and confirmed the solar charger was working fine, but the design of the MM371W requires the charger to be fed into the board, rather than connected directly to the battery, and when I tested it, I found no charge coming from the board. In the midst of my second Mighty Mule gate opener failure within a month and a half, I called the toll-free number provided in the installation manual and was on hold for over 20 minutes when a representative finally connected, then was promptly hung up on. I immediately called back and was thankfully on hold for less time, and after explaining to the service representative the results of my testing, I was asked when and where I had purchased the opener, to which I told them from Amazon about a month prior. The representative advised rather than sending the opener to Mighty Mule to be repaired, I return it to Amazon, which they graciously approved, even though it had been just outside of the 30-day return period. Upon initiating the return, I immediately purchased another MM371W from Amazon, installed it and it has been working fine up until just last week when it has begun emitting an error code beep for a low battery after use. Naturally, I tested all of the connections and found everything to be as it should, and noted that the beeping is not consistent in frequency or duration. However, I has begun to occur more and more the past several days and I am now to the point to where I have to deal with YET ANOTHER defective Mighty Mule gate opener. And I just now clicked on the link for product support on this item's page and the link to "visit support website" takes you to an entirely different manufacturer! SOMETHING THAT COSTS THIS MUCH SHOULD OPERATE PROPERLY AND NOT INCONVENIENCE ME SO MUCH IN TIME AND FRUSTRATION IN TRYING TO REPAIR AND/OR REPLACE IT!!!!!!

Great DIY Automatic Gate opener for a residence
This is the 4th Mighty mule Gate opener I have purchased and installed - since 201 FYI the gate gets cycled 5 to 10 times a day (so a estimated 2500+ cycles / year) 1st one just wasn't powerful enough for the 300 lb gate - it was still good and I sold it 2nd was a refurbished mighty mule ranch hand 360 - lasted 4 years 3rd was a new ranch hand 360 - lasted 7 years the 360 was an all in one gate opener & controller box (no longer available) I just bought/installed (3 hrs) the Mighty Mule MM371W - it's back to the old style setup: Gate Controller and Opener are separate. The all-in-one unit was much easier to to install/replace but separating the controller from the gate opener does increase the clarence between the gate and opener allowing for movement of the gate with less adjustment. I am quite happy with speed and noise level of the unit. I like the fact that unit supports additional wired accessories - I added a "door bell" switch to "manually" open/close for the kids and the Vehicle Exit Sensor ( with a Range adjustment board). I moded the wiring and added a toggle switch for the exit wand so I could disconnect the power to it - to turn off the "exit wand" when needed. I did have to drill a hole into the controller box to wire in the the door bell switch & exit wand. I previously ran conduit under the driveway for the exit sensor wiring when I first installed a gate opener. I did add a second BOX to house the outlet and AC Adaptor for the trickle charger for marine battery backup - 1st battery lasted 9 years I give them 1 star for tech support this time since they were acquired by "Nice" 1. I never got a hold of them when I needed them 2. Pre sales Technical support was hard to understand - English is not my 1st language but I make a very concerted effort to speak clearly with enunciation to be understood. I hope this helps

Had a 350 that worked well for a number of years but started becoming unreliable and I wasn't able to successfully troubleshoot it. The 371 was a drop in fit but needed to mount the separate control box. It's working well and I really like the increased speed of opening and closing.

Started working periodically after having installed and used less than a year. Arm itself is fine but control board isn't and there is no options to replace just the control board.

Needed to replace a gate part and this replaced the whole part cheaper than just getting the part
