Review: A mid-range card - good performance and no issues 2 years on - Like another person on here I bought this during the height of COVID - I was planning on building a gaming PC prior to my daughter being born but also I wanted a better computer to WFH so getting a decent CPU was important but not the main driver. I don't get to play much so I would consider myself a casual gamer (kids keep you busy), I wanted good quality 1080p performance and even games coming out now like Forza Horizon 5 have no issue running at high settings, 1080p 60fps (I too only have a 60Hz monitor). What I would say though is that the current price is significantly more than I paid - I paid £220 brand new in June 2020 and this particular Gigabyte version is currently £350+ (as of September 2022) - I got a bargain in retrospect and I think if I was buying now I would be shopping around more for 1660 supers from other manufacturers if I really wanted this particular GPU. Also it seems like the supply of GPUs at normal prices might be returning soon as crypto mining seems to be settling down (lets see how this statement ages) and as pressure eases on those top end cards it might bring mid to low tier card prices down too. So unless you really need to get a card, this card, right now, it might be worth waiting a bit. In terms of set up I paired this card with: Ryzen 5 3600 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR 3200 MHz Crucial MX500 500GB SSD (later replaced with a Crucial P5 1TB) + 2TB Seagate HDD Maybe this will be helpful to someone.
Review: Best value per £ - Replaced my gtx 970 for Gigabyte 1660 super. Vast improvement. I am assuming you have already checked some benchmarks on-line. It can run modern AAA games easily 1080p/60fps. Probably best value per £ at the moment. Got it for 205£ and even sold my 970 so best buy possible. Highly recommended for a mid tier gpu. 2060 super costs around 400£... On my not the best airflow case with only 1 back fan, I get around 49 degrees with fans being idle. Fans will start spinning somewhere after 51 degrees + but they are not noisy. Actually you won't even pay attention with in game music and is even more quiet than my 970. I believe you can adjust fans to spin constantly as well with MSI afterburner but I like them being completely quiet when idle. My max temp was around 70 degrees on 2000rpm. Highly recommended for a mid tier gpu.

## Features

- Powered by GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER
- NVIDIA Turing architecture and GeForce Experience
- Integrated with 6GB GDDR6 192-bit memory interface

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great card to a oc and good value
*by P***O on 3 October 2020*

Great card, upgrade from old 770 gtx. Perfect for a medium build gaming pc. I have been able to oc this card to a 2115ghz boost clock and memory +700mhz in msi afterburner. The main thing holding it back is the power being limited to 150w, +20%. Probably not w9rth going too far with the oc for an extra couple of fps, very pleased with the oc. Gigabyte is a really good brand for cards and mobos along with msi. In 3d Mark was able to get 9% on the base clock setting which already has a boost.
