Perfect seams
Perfect quilting foot

My most-used Janome foot for many years - after the black guide is removed
Had one, have been swapping it around between 4 different machines since it's not a standard foot with the Janome machines. Managed to lose it a few weeks ago so I bought 4 just alike to put one with each machine now. Oddly enough they arrived in 4 different packages LOL This foot isn't exactly the same as the Janome 1/4" quilting foot marked "O" - that one has a heavy metal guide on the side that can't be removed. This foot without a letter marking is the identical shape to the "O" but the guide is made from a thin flexible black metal. I see reviews with complaints about the guide getting in the way - it won't let you sew across another seam with a hump in it. The first thing I do is break off that useless black guide on the edge since I'm not quilting, I just use a 1/4" seam on nearly everything I make since a 5/8" seam has to be trimmed off anyway. All you have to do is pull up on the black attachment and it will snap right off at the back and then you have the perfect 1/4" foot! You can see the tiny portion of it that remains on the back posts in the photo.

Love this little tool!
This 1/4" guide works well for quilt piecing. I am very satisfied with the quality and function of it. It made putting a quilt top together so much easier and so much more accurate.

Works well
I got this very quickly. The foot was cost effective compared to my local sewing notions supplier. It is plastic; but sturdy enough for common use.

As usual, all Janome products are designed for most ...
As usual, all Janome products are designed for most low shank and/or Janome machines. This is a high quality 1/4 presser foot

Wonderful little foot...
At first I didn't think this fit my Janome 2160 dc, but as soon as I turned it on the needle jumped to the correct position. Stitch 00 is the perfect fit! So happy to have this!

It's Great
I was working on a quilt away from home and was unable to fund a 1/4 inch foot locally, so I ordered one from Amazon. Had it a couple of days. It works perfectly. I was able to finish the quilt in a few days and bring it home with me.

Not Exactly 1/4"
I bought this foot for my Janome Harmony 8080. It fits fine and the needle goes through the center of the hole. This is great, because the Singer brand foot I purchased (and returned) did not have the hole in the correct place. Here is the problem: The edge guide is a flimsy piece of metal that does not lie flush with the foot. It is off by approximately 1/16". When sewing a complicated block, the problem compounds and the sub-units are not the same size. I have gotten around this by ignoring the edge guide (which I may remove completely) and using the edge of the foot itself as my 1/4" which is decently accurate although its not a scant 1/4". The edge guide also bends easily, making it practically useless. Over all, 3 out of 5 stars, mostly because the other 1/4" feet that I have tried did not work with my machine. The design of the Harmony 8080 s flawed in that the snap on feet sit 1/8" to the left due to the shaft design, making it impossible to use generic presser feet.

Replacement for an old one.
This was a replacement and does exactly what it says. I managed to break my original one which I’d had for years. Very useful if you’re sewing 1/4 inch seams and easy to use.
