THR10II Wired Desktop Guitar Amp , 10W

Beautiful clean sound, I just turned it on, plugged in my guitar and was able to dial in a very satisfying tone. Pros: - Very convenient to be able to save your own presets; - perfect size for a practice amp; - Bluetooth with the iPhone app greatly expands your sound editing options; Cons: - Easily connected to my laptop on first attempt; after that one time, never again. I really love this amp; get one, you won't regret it.

This is simply the perfect desktop practice amp. I love that it has separate volume controls for audio and guitar inputs so I can play a backing track from my laptop and dial it in with my guitar so it sounds like one cohesive mix. My wife loves that I can use headphones with it. The range of tones and amp sims it offers is large- especially when you access the extra features through the online app. I've been able to satisfactorily replicate Gilmour style reverb saturated leads, Dimebag style crunch, Hendrix style fuzz, in fact the only tone I haven't had much success getting close to is Brian May's but i think most of that comes from the odd wiring in the red special. Plenty of user-created tones available online, and it's easy to share and save your own. I did have to purchase a cable to connect it to my laptop usb and I wish it had just come supplied with that, but that's a minor gripe in the scheme of things. I purchased the 10W version which is plenty loud enough for in home use and desktop recording. If you were busking or playing live, especially with a drummer, I would consider the 30W version instead. Another plus, it makes for a great bluetooth speaker when I'm not using it as an amp. Overall, 10/10 would buy again.

Great practice amp. This is a good practice amp. Small footprint. Light. I play clean but this has a lot of versatility for a player that plays any style. Well made. I'm happy with my purchase. Loud enough for practice. Even shows articulation and dynamics of picking even though not a famous tube amp.

Excellent versatile amp. I use it daily with both acoustic and electric. The app interface allows emulation of a wide range of amp types. Would recommend for any new players looking to experiment with different sounds before shelling out thousands on tube amps and pedal boards. Living in an apartment, good sound quality at low volumes is important to me and this amp delivers on that.

I really like this amp for plunking away while watching Tee Vee. It has decent tones and the effects are surprisingly useful given the limited ability to tweak the the two dials that control 4 effects each rather cleverly. I occasionally play bass including a couple 5 strings tuned down to B and at low volumes it works O.K. I use it quite frequently which is really proof that the purchase worked out. My one disappointment is that the settings memory has trouble reproducing the levels imputed upon recall. Otherwise a fine unit.

Well-thought-out design and great sound. Period. Yamaha delivered! Basically, there are so many things you can do. To keep it short - if you're a jamming or practicing at home, this is the only amp you need. For recording (on your shure sm57), as I said, simply great sound, plenty of options - hard to find anything this good (although the price isn't super fun, but worthy), and your mic will be happy to hear this amp. Hit that G string and rock!

Great little amp, with tons of features to dive into. Getting my sound on a small scale, think my living room, was very easy. I will be using it for practice purposes strictly, not for live performance. The Bluetooth feature is great, you get very high quality playback, with it's own volume control separate from the guitar volume. The THR Remote app on my iPad is very intuitive. I haven't dug into it completely, because once I start playing, I'd rather play than experiment, but I'll get there. It was a little pricey, but when I ordered it, I got $100 off by signing up for an Amazon Card. All in all, very happy.

I've own a THR10X which is the earlier generation high gain amp, and I also own a THR5. I like those amps a lot but this new version is so much more flexible due to the bluetooth capability which not only unlocks tons more effects settings, amps, speakers etc, but let's you use the amp as a bluetooth speaker. Being able to play along with jam tracks streamed through the amp from an iphone makes this an awesome portable jamming setup. Oh and the tone is phenomenal. From cleans, to slightly overdriven, to massive gain, these amps have it all (as do the earlier versions). Really a great upgrade.

I love this amp. It's perfect if you live in an apartment and can't afford to make loud noise. Space saving is a bonus, Set it on the coffee table and play on the sofa. It is super light to carry around and looks attractive too. Excellent for beginners to advanced players or if you want to travel light. The tone is clean and clear. I was researching the different models and there it suddenly appeared at a discount from Steve's music store. Great purchase!

Great amp. Make sure to down load the Computer interface. You can tweak your sound to perfection.

I have owned the THR 5 since 2021. Thought the new spark 2 would be way better, sold the THR5. So sorry for doing that. Returned the spark2, too much useless options for me. I like plug in, set once and play! Ordered the THR10II, still on its way to me, can't wait! In the real world us men and women don't have loads of time too play. When you do, you don't want to be tied up searching for tone. With the YAMAHA you have it right away and you have the option when you want it. I also have a gen 3 katana and it's no where near a fun as my THR5 was. Thank you YAMAHA! After I practice a bit I'm going for a ride on my YZ250. You guys are the best!

Worth the money, should of gotten one sooner. Versatile, easy to operate and fine tune. Sounds awesome and doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, a must for any guitar player!
