The original heel tips deteriorated completely after a few long walks, so I bought these caps to repair the shoes. It took a little effort to get the caps onto the heels, but I think they will hold up well. I walked around in the shoes a bit to test the caps, and the shoes feel much safer now than they did before. The caps also make the shoes much quieter. But within a couple hours of wearing them on heels that had been damaged (like the heel piece came off exposing the nail) I looked down and the heel cap had come off one of my shoes and it was NOT too big. I struggled to get the caps on. I believe due to the thin plastic, the cap tore and came right off. I could see the outline of the misshapen heel underneath the plastic cap so it looked like it was stretched to the limit.The caps were not the material I thought they’d be, it was a hard thin plastic; they were flimsier than I imagined; and their sizing is waaaayyy off. My heels measured 10 mm at the base and confusingly only the medium would fit.
