Gravity UV Light - 8W

The jury is out on this product. These bulbs seem to have a limited effectiveness and life span. We have had to replace bulbs at least once a year and the only way to know it needs replacement is that the algae it is supposed to kill starts clouding the pond again. The light still illuminates in the filter chamber long after the UV has stopped having an impact. I have hopes for this unit, as the other vendor I have used sells in packages of two and last year and this year, the first of the bulbs out of the package was lighting but not killing organisms. Fishmate claims that this unit has a higher UV output.

I originally gave this bulb a 1 star review after recieving the wrong bulb, but after being contacted by the seller, Al has resolved the mix up and the correct bulb is on the way. This is the 3rd that i have used in the 5 years ive had my pond and they work great keeping the water nice and clear. Great customer service provided by AZPonds when there was a problem.

Product was received and when installed was defective. Notified company and they made excuses that I could have dropped it,misstored it(how do you do that?) and bulb was past warranty....I noticed that other reviews were responded to with excuses...I DO NOT recommend Seacorals based on their reviews. The item was $12 so it was a matter of principle: they sent a defective bulb and that is final!! Amazon was great in handling the problem....should have been handled by this company!! Now watch the excuses.....

I use this UV light for my fish mate supra pond filter. These lights last for 1 to 2 seasons and are very effective at keeping your pond water clean. Make sure that you do not touch the bulb glass with your bare hands and do not look directly into the UV light.

Half life

The posting appeared that I was buying the complete filter box but it was just the light. I felt very deceived when this order arrived and they should only post the picture of the light if that is all being

Worked fine after I learned that you have to put the lid (with the light) on the filter for the light to work. There is a small connection which grounds the light and lets it light. You can not see the light go on until it is on the filter.

They arrived quickly, were the correct size, were wrapped well, and are now busy killing the bacteria in the pond.
