**Q: The box I have from my previous bulb also has the number 618245.  It's for my pond filter.  I want to make sure this is the right one before ordering.**
A: Yes -- it is to an ultraviolet light that is a "tube" (water goes through the tube and the light bulb is encased).  It's to help kill algae.  Our light bulb is not part of the filter.  However, we have had great success with this purchase.  Hope this helps!

**Q: I was told this bulb would as a replacement however I have a 24vdc transformer plugged into the furnace lamp housing. This bulb is a 60v bulb??**
A: The unit that it fits has its own transformer. the unit plugs into 100V recep

**Q: Where can i buy the uvb lamp?**
A: Amazon or ebay

**Q: do they light up purple ?**
A: UV light looks like blue/violet thru the fiber optic in my duct bracket.  Purple is a close match.  Don't look directly at any UV light.
