My knees say thanks!!
Got this after tearing open my knee multiple weeks in a row, just kept aggravating the same scrape. On really hard slides you can still get a mark, but the thickness of the polyester portion alone will take most of the brunt and if the main point of impact is the neoprene pads then you are golden. They are easy to run in and don't mess up the stride too much. I wear them for men's league softball and honestly WAY more of the league should have these given the carnage that gets shown off on a regular basis. As I've aged a bit I also find that these are handy for projects, and was thankful to have them when changing a faucet (which required some kneeling on a tile floor). Great product for the price.

Too tight on a skinny adult
I bought these for figure skating because of the low profile. I never wore them because they are far too tight, and I'm not even a big girl. I'm 5'5" and 125lbs and they are disgustingly tight around the knee and cant be used for kneepads unless you dont mind the tightness. I did end up using it as a slider when I was learning a loop jump so I wouldnt keep stabbing myself in the shin with my skate blade as I was crossing my feet, but even that was still tight and I've tossed them somewhere now that I dont need the protection. I've only worn these about 3 times and I hate them. If i were 90-100lbs lbs, it might be a different story, but I'm not.

Why did I wait so long?
I can't believe I waited so long to buy this product. I have played organized baseball my whole life and never seemed to need a slide pad, but as I got older and started playing softball on a regular basis, I was tearing up my knee 2 times a week! I bought this after a game one night when I was fed up with bleeding all over my sheets and my friends asking why my knee was always so bloody. Simply put, it works. It is a little tight from the start and I had to get used to adjusting it, but isn't the game all about adjustments anyways? Once I "wore it in" I hardly notice it unless it shifts after a play when I land on it. I haven't had a bloody knee since!

Skill got bloody knees
So I could be doing something wrong, or maybe the fields in San Diego are all just way to hard/abrasive but, I actually stopped wearing these because everytime I wore them I put a certain amount of "trust" in them when I slide, only to have them peel back and get cut anyway. If I slide feet first, the bottom slides up and I get cut below the knee. If I slide head first, they roll down and I get cut above the knee and the pad just catches a bunch of dirt in it that goes straight into the cut. Again I could be doing something wrong but I have had multiple instances wear I tweaked the way I wore them only to eventually end up having to wash them because the inside is full of blood and dirt :( They seem built for the job but if you slide allot I would not rely on these to keep your knees from getting torn up, beware.

No more strawberries!
Bought this to use for baseball, no more strawberries! I like to slide on my front shin (Tibialis Anterior Muscle) and would sometimes get my knees scrapped up pretty bad. Once I got this knee pad, no more cuts and bloody knee. It may feel uncomfortable at first but once it's on, you forget it's there. My primary position is catcher so I'm moving all the time, whether I'm standing, running, or blocking and it holds well. You may want to be sure you get the right size. If it's big on you, of course it will move around much more than you want. It's also machine washable.

It's the best
If you want something thin and comfortable that will still do a great job of protecting you for recreational softball, this is perfect. It has a very low profile, no thicker than a neoprene knee brace, nothing like the big sliders the kids wear. The fabric is stretchy with a very tight fit at first, but that's because the elastic is very durable (I throw mine through the washer and dryer after every game and it has held up really well) and will not ever stretch out too much beyond your size, even with all the pulling it on and off. It does stretch out some, and when you first get it it's very tight and you have to wear it or work at it for awhile to get it to your size. Because you stretch it to your size, it could work for older youth who are getting close to adult size even though it is meant for adults. People with larger leg sizes might have a harder time breaking it in. Also, I have it in white, and it never stains! For protection it is amazing how something so thin holds up to most slides.

Fits good and offers good protection
The Mizuno Slider Kneepad is exactly that. It's meant to go more around/on the knee and upper shin as opposed to the calf, which is what I really wanted. When I slide feet first I tend to scrape up my shin a little more than my knee. There really is no exact way to wear it (which is nice, but may be confusing for people). So just slide it on and position it where you feel you need the protection. As I said I scratch up my shin more and I prefer to not diminish my speed, so I try not to cover my knee with it. As such, I keep it just below my knee (and I turn it a little to the outside of my leg) It stays up and it fits well. The padding on the inside (there really should be a picture of the inner padding) does the job and it really saves me from going home with dirt scrapes on my shins/knees.Others stated it’s tight right out of the package. For bigger girls/guys that may be the case, but the fabric seems to have a stretch quality. As with any sleeve type item it’s meant to be tight and stretch to eventually fit any leg shape/size. I’m 5’4 130 lbs with large muscular calfs. It fits fine and I definitely don’t feel restricted in it. If I cover the knee it fits exactly as a McDavid knee sleeve may fit. I was able to use it right out of the package. It softens up every time I use. It’s great.Others docked this negatively for only being one, not a pair. Well, buy two then and the math is the exact same. If you think you’ll slide on one leg more, get one. If your all about switching up the legs then buy two. Don’t knock on the product if you don’t read the description or don’t do the research ahead of time.Overall, I’m happy with the buy and would buy again.

Love, hate, but will keep buying
I love this product as much as a hate it. And because there's nothing else too similar to it, I really have no choice but to keep buying it. I use it for volleyball, and it fits my needs because I never could get used to the bulkier more dense and concentrated pads. I just wanted something that provided slide and skin protection, with just a little bit of padding (it only has a thin layer) so that movement is not restricted and you feel like you're almost just wearing a leg warmer. So for all that it's works so well. However, it does not last. At $10 give or take for one only, for two it really is the equivalent of a normal pair of kneepads. After a few slides you'll notice the fabric in those areas rubbing away. Within weeks you'll see the inner stitching start coming undone here and there, although to be fair you can just snip off the strands and its not any the less usable or has fallen apart. After a bit longer, the areas rubbing away will become full on holes exposing the inner cushioning. At this point I've started to use square pieces of gorilla tape or black duct tape to cover those up to extend the use of the sliders. So until some other brand comes up with a longer lasting model, this seems to be only one that fits my needs. Other than it not lasting, it is comfortable and fits well - although I'm surprised there's no options in sizing so it makes me wonder how it could fit me as well as someone who's far off from my size.

Not OSFA.
Not OSFA as stated, unless you are a bean pole. This thing barely fits on my elbow let alone my knee. My wife even tried it on (she is much smaller than me) while it fit on her she said it was way too tight. Only buy this if you are a small framed person and not athletic with skinny legs.

Does the job, but size is an issue.
Had to replace my sliding pads this year, saw these on Amazon, so though I would give them a try, since I enjoy Mizuno baseball equipment. Needless to say, one size does not fit all. If you have a larger thigh (like I do), then you'll find that the top of the sliding pad will roll down, which will make it quite uncomfortable while playing. I had a previous pair, made by a no name brand and they were a lot more stable. Expected more from Mizuno, maybe have a S/M and L/XL sizes. Great price on Amazon. Recommend this product to the smaller thigh-ed player.

It's a good thing I still have my old one
It took forever to receive the product. I almost thought they lost my shipment. It's a good thing I still have my old one. That said the newer mizuno slider is slightly longer than the older one that I own. It's also pretty comfortable. It was a good price. I would recommend for anyone that needs it.
