Light Pomade & Hair Dressing, Super Light, 3 oz.

Don't worry if you aren't going for a greaser pompadour, this stuff can handle any hair style. I got tired of spending $5-$8 for the axe hair products. Someone recommended American Crew but that was overpriced and smelled strange. I heard about murrays on some forums and wanted to try the light pomade for easy wash-out and medium hold. This stuff is so cheap for a tin that will last you at least a few months. I have really thick hair and it gives that perfect amount of hold where I can still run my hand through it and not come up with grease all over my hand. Its a medium shine so your hair looks healthy and it smells amazing. I use about a quarter size, emulsify it between my hands, and lightly slick it through, does the job perfectly and takes no time at all. I love the super light and I recommend it to anyone looking for a medium strength pomade that is easy on anyones pockets.

For $3 you simply can't beat the value of Murray's. I use this product nearly every day and this 3 oz tin has lasted me nearly 3 months! PROS: - Value. You can't beat it. - Super Light is much lighter and thinner than Murray's original pomade. This product was made for 'white people hair' whereas the original pomade was made for 'black people hair'. - Great hold, but keeps the hair soft and pliable. - Easy to comb through hair. Much Easier to wash out than Original Murray's - Smell is nothing to complain about. You can't smell it while it is on your hair. - Leaves hair looking smooth and somewhat shiny if it is combed CONS: - Leaves hair kind of greasy, but that is just the nature of these sort of products. The girlfriend probably wont want to run her fingers through your hair. - If you get it wet, the tin will begin to develop rust spots after about 2 months of use. TL;DR It's great and I would certainly purchase again.

#1 ingredient is petroleum and it does look and smell greasy. Its hard to wash off your hands after applying. I'm satisfied with the product for the price. It holds hair well and does its job. But it does look and smell like grease (like grease your would use on your car parts). I'm giving 4 stars for value and it works good. I could've easily looked at the ingredients and known about how it would feel and smell. I bought this because I've tried Murray's Edge Wax, which was mostly beeswax. I thought this would be like that but "lighter". This was not like that. I would not buy again.

Reliable and as expected.

Bought this pomade as a cheap way to get started in the world of pomade hair products. It was cheap enough that if I didn't like it, it wasn't much money wasted. I also found it appealing because of it containing coconut oil and aloe. I had heard before about the problem of acne showing up around the hairline from oil based pomades. I have sensitive skin so I went for this stuff and after a month or so of using it, still no acne! The hold is fine for my hair and takes care of my annoying cow lick. I haven't had a problem with getting it out of the can and into my hair as some others have said. It's soft and spreads great when rubbing in the palm of my hand to put in my hair. It smells great too; a fresh scent with a hint of coconut. I will definitely be buying more!

I use Murray's Original to get my hair to comb straight. (I have auburn hair, 4-5" long with large 1" curls) I used this to see if it would do the same with less effort. It does not do as good of a job, and I've been having people compliment: "Oh, I didn't know you were trying a new style". I'm not, it just doesn't hold as solid as the original. It is tons easier to apply, and smells sweeter, but washes out easy and won't hold as well, nor as long. I'll keep it for a backup in case I want a Clark Kent look. I've since gone back to Murray's Original.
