Pelican 1120 Case With Foam (Orange)

It's a pelican protector case. They're phenomenal and virtually indestructible. What else needs to be said?

I'm glad they offer so many sizes. This case is just large enough to hold a Nikon SB-700 flash unit. But that is not what I had in mind. I had been given the assignment/opportunity to document the construction of the LDS Church's Phoenix Arizona Temple. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. So, I wanted a secure place to keep the memory cards and USB drives together, all in one portable container for quick reference and easy access. I was glad to know they were safe and protected in any environment while the project was being completed, and waiting for the historical documentations to be assembled. I used this small size case to securely hold 20-25 SDHC cards (in plastic cases), separated by making slots in the foam inserts to hold them in place. The case was small enough to then fit inside my fire safe for ultimate security. The bright orange color also helped to locate the case among my other camera bags and cases. Great quality. Lives up to reputation.

I bought two of these cases and have been totally pleased with them. I use one to hold a GPS watch and USB cable. There is space to hold two of each, so the case is very convenient if I'm traveling for outdoor adventure and want to keep an extra watch safe. I use the other case to store a Contour ROAM2 along with cables, cards, and other accessories. I've not subjected them to abuse, but my experience with other Pelican products has been that they are solid cases and can handle whatever you might (reasonably) throw at them. For the price of these cases, they offer a tremendous amount of protection for the valuable devices they're carrying. I plan to buy more of these (or similar) cases as I have the need.

If you need the most durable, waterproof case that will protect whatever you put in it like it was in a bank vault, this is the case for you. The interior foam is diced, so you can customize it to fit whatever you need. There is a one way purge valve so it will equalize the pressure in the case if you fly or go up in the mountains. It has a place to lock it with a padlock, so you can lock it. I bought it to keep emergency equipment in, so the bright orange case stands out. You can't go wrong with Pelican cases.

Theres nothing better. I have a different brand case for my drone and the pelican is clearly better quality. I bought this to protect a 500 lb magnet I bought for my dad for magnet fishing. Magnets like that are very dangerous buy I am confident it is safe in the case. Only complaint was the foam. It was very difficult to cut the shape, especially since the magnet is round. My advice is to cut all the way through the foam instead of trying to cut only half way. But still the edges came out messy and I'm kind of embarrassed about it especially since it's a gift

The latches are maybe a bit weak, but do hold well. Maybe I am just used to Pelican latches on bigger stuff. The pluck stuffing made a good pattern for the thermometer. I drew it on the back where it could not be seen when I put it back in. Put half a removed foam on the bottom to keep the batteries from sliding way down. what else in the garage could use one of these? Color coding is great, can find this one in the dark!

This case was ordered to house a Samsung NX1000 compact camera and an extra lens, plus anything else I could cram in, like an extra battery. It is a perfect size, as I wanted, but it took a little extra effort to get the cover to close when the camera was in position. The foam sits on a layer of another kind of foam. By carving into the lower layer as well as the thicker layer, the camera fits perfectly. As I expected from Pelican, the box is sturdy and extremely well built. It looks like you could throw it around and still protect the contents. The latches take an effort to snap close and, of course, to open. I like that because it is not going to come open on its own. The orange color I ordered is cool too. For 25 bucks it is one big bargain, even if the case is tiny.

Perfect diving companion. Take this with me on every dive and trust it to keep all my valuables dry.

I love the Pelican cases, and I do have a few. But they are expensive……and I keep paying the extra as they are very good
