Hadley Small Pro Camera Bag

This is my third Billingham bag, I have one larger and one smaller. This is exactly what I need for everyday carry - small, light, carries comfortably on the hip. I’ve since bought a shoulder pad and an Avea pouch, making the bag even more versatile. It is perfect for rangefinder sized cameras and will easily fit a camera and several lenses or two cameras (Leica M10s) with lenses attached. Pockets are deep and large, between the padded liner and the back of the bag there is room for an 11” iPad Pro. By adding the top handle, the trolley sleeve, water proofing, and the back sealed pocket for travel documents, Billingham has made the perfect personal carryon for air travel and it doesn’t scream camera bag. Build quality is second to none. I’ve bought a ton of camera bags over the years and I’ve finally found the perfect bag for my needs on a daily basis and for travel.

I have two of these bags, one for a small rangefinder film camera and the other for a small rangefinder style digital camera. They are very well padded to protect camera and lens. I use one prime lens on each camera and carry one extra prime in each bag. Lens brush, filters, hoods, note pad, etc. are in the front pockets. On one I have an AVEA 7 for a battery/ memory card case, and on the other I have an AVEA 5 for extra film cartridge's. They are a bit expensive, but I should never have to buy another bag. Also have an SP15 shoulder pad on each bag and they are much less slip prone than others I have owned.

What can I say about a Billingham bag? Only the best made bag your money can buy. This Billingham Hadley Small Pro bag can really hold more than you think. I currently have a Leica M9, a Leica IIIc, each fitted with lenses, three additional lenses, extra film, exposure meter, lens hoods, several filters and other miscellaneous items as well. It has a waterproof sipper on the camera bag back for storing passport, paperwork etc. It has two generous front pockets for other storage. The bag is extremely well padded so your precious camera gear is well protected. The quality of construction is exceptional as are all Billingham products. I comes with a protective storage bag for when you are not using it. This is a bag that your great grandchildren will enjoy using.

This camera bag is well made and spacious. Well designed and attractive it is just what we needed and well worth the price.

I've been using Billingham camera bags since the 60s. They are the best bags with a very distinct form factor. Material wise it is the tops. I have a regular Hadley Pro and fits my Leica M outfit. The Hadley Pro (small) is perfect for my compact outfit. It is on a smaller size and requires constraints in selecting the outfit for a casual photography outing. The handle on top is particular useful in situations where you don't want to carry it on our shoulders. I also bought the shoulder pad which is a bit overkill for this small bag. All in all I do recommend this bag with some constraints. Mainly the leather straps that fastens onto the top cover. It is an outdated design. Wanting quick access to any items require quite a bit of effort to close/open it. Updated on 4/16/2025 I gave a thumbs up on the above review. I like it so much that I ordered another one for a different camera system. In this case, it was disappointing and I had to return it. It came as new with all the tags and wrapping. However, as in the first one I got, it should come with 2 sets of inserts. This one only came with one set and as such I cannot use it without risking knocking my gears around while carrying it for lack of insert protection. I have since emailed Billingham and they confirmed that the bag should come with 2 sets of inserts. They told me to get back to the seller for resolution. So, in this case, either the factory screwed up or the seller inadvertentlty left out the inserts. I have to return it.

Beautifully made. Very happy with the look, and feel of this bag. Worth the money

I have a several Billingham bags, this is the most recent purchase. My first the original Hadley Pro, which I use everyday is still holding up well. This is a little smaller, I am trying to carry less gear as I get older, and is just as well made. I like color combination olive\chocolate brown although I have a couple of the dark blue\chocolate colored ones and those equally nice. They not cheaper but last very well. My wife uses one of the Stowaway bags when we travel, buying it after seeing one of my camera bags.

Sturdy construction, great style, roomy enough for 2 leica M camera bodies (with lenses attached), extra pockets for batteries, filters, etc. My Go-To Bag.

Erstklassige englische Handarbeit. Perfekte Verarbeitung und strapazierfähiges Material. Es ist bereits meine zweite Billingham - Phototasche, aber nachdem die Kameras immer kleiner werden genügt die Hadley Small vollkommen. Meine erste schaut nach Jahren intensiven Gebrauchs noch immer aus wie neu - die Reisverschlüsse laufen noch immer wie am ersten Tag .

DIE Fototasche im Retrolook. Perfekter Schutz für die Fotoausrüstung, Zubehör und Reisedokumente. Für spiegellose Systemkameras benötigt man nicht mehr die monströsen Fototaschen, diese hier ist perfekt für ein Gehäuse und zwei größere Objektive (z.B. Olympus OM, Pen F mit Zoom 12-100 und 7-14 incl. Ladegerät, Akkus und Speicherkarten. In das hintere Reisverschlußfach passen die Reisedokumente.

Well made attractive lightweight bag with good padding for camera protection. Easily holds a mirrorless camera plus an extra lens. The 2 exterior front pockets are for bulk storage so there is no individual storage pockets for batteries and SD cards. Given the cost of the bag I was a little disappointed special storage pockets are not a feature. A separate storage wallet is advisable.

The bag is a quality item but a bit smaller than I expected for the price.
