I've tried my picky dog on a few different foods. I used to feed this brand to another dog I owned years ago, so I tried it with my current dog. Let me tell you, he LOVES it. This is the first food my picky eater will beg for. He RUNS to his bowl every day at dinner time and will do happy tippy tappies and demand bark for it. It smells great, isn't too crumbly, is a great high quality food. The kibbles are just the right size. I would highly recommend this brand. Right now we are feeding the Ancient Prairie Canine Recipe with Roasted Bison and Venison but other flavors are equally loved and worthwhile too.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I don’t know what kind of ancient prairie magic is in this bag, but ever since I started feeding my dog this gourmet masterpiece, he’s been strutting around like he just conquered Yellowstone. Roasted bison? Venison? Ancient grains?? Excuse me, is this a dog food or a five-course meal curated by a Michelin-starred caveman chef? My dog used to treat mealtime like a casual affair. Now, he sits like a perfect gentleman, eyes sparkling with anticipation, as if he’s waiting for a sommelier to bring the wine pairing. His coat is shinier, his energy is through the roof, and let’s just say his… “bathroom business” is a lot more polite. If you want your pup to feel like a majestic wild beast while living his best spoiled indoor life, this is the stuff. 10/10, would eat it myself if I had fewer standards.

My dog loves it, and I feel good about the ingredients. Also a fair value for high quality dog food! My dog is almost 10 and most people think he's two, so his energy is top notch.

I have mixed emotions. My very picky dog will actually eat it at least once a day usually. Im not sure if it is the flavor or if she was tired of her old food but even when I mixed her food with this she really wouldn't eat it. Once I stopped mixing it she started to eat it. It is very hard for me to afford to feed 2 large dogs this but with a picky eater who would rather starve themselves then eat most of the time I'm just happy she likes it. I have never had issues with it making them sick and usually comes on time.

We love this dog food. We have two golden doodles that thoroughly enjoy it as well. We typically get the bison flavor because the salmon flavor made our dogs breath smell SO bad. Our dogs typically have somewhat sensitive stomachs but this food works great for them! Our vet has mentioned that its a more rich dog food so something to keep in mind if you're thinking of purchasing. Its great for our dogs!

the fda fearmongering is nonsense. i've been feeding my german shepherd this brand for his entire life since he was 8 weeks old, and now he's 4 years old. he's extremely healthy, his coat is smooth, he has plenty of energy, and he loves this food. i switch between ancient grains and grain free periodically, because there's been a lot of discourse about whether grain-free is actually good for dogs or not, so at this point i have no idea about that but i figure switching between the two regularly is safe enough. people really need to stop putting so much faith in the fda. they're incredibly shady and can and have been bought to sell a narrative SO many times because capitalism. but if you're really that scared, take your dog for a checkup and ask a trusted vet their opinion. try out the food for a couple months and take the dog back for bloodwork, etc. if your dog is doing fine, the food is fine. but even if your dog isn't doing fine on this food, keep in mind that some dogs just individually have specific needs and may just need foods with certain ingredients. if your dog is getting sick off of a brand, it's usually not the brand's fault, it's just that your dog specifically needs to be on another food. anyway, i love this brand, and it's kept my dog very healthy and happy. i will continue to buy for as long as it exists.

Nothing on description mentions this at all I came to know when I decided to read ingredients after my dog almost finished it!

The expiry date is literlly in a month! Thats why hes selling it cheaper. Dont buy before you check with the seller the expiry date
