I decided to let my hair go naturally salt & pepper. I was pleased that it came in predominantly salt. But I hate all the things that turn my white hair yellow. I can't do anything about my high mineral-content well water, but decided I could switch hair spray brands. I could quite literally SEE my old faithful Suave hair spray discoloring my hair as I used it. The PROS of this product: - It does NOT discolor my white hair. - It holds without leaving my hair stiff or sticky. - It holds all day, even though my hair gradually feels less and less like I'm wearing hairspray on it. - For an aerosol, it's relatively easy to control the direction of the spray. The CONS of this product: - Well, cost, obviously. It's more than double the cost of the Suave product I was using. - I much prefer a pump spray to an aerosol, and for me, this is the #1 negative.. I feel like I get hairspray all over m bathroom. I can't take this when I travel using just a carry-on. With a pump spray, I can take just a couple of ounces to use while traveling and still pack it in my carry-on. If this product was available in a pump spray, I'd probably subscribe and get it all the time, even at this price. But there are definite draw-backs to an aerosol product and I'm having difficulty getting past those. Will the fact that it works well without discoloring my hair overcome the cons? Still to be determined.

I have been trying different hair products to eliminate the yellowing of my silver/white hair. This hairspray seems to conquer this issue along with low heat applied to my hair as well. I like the hold and it brushes out nicely too. The only complaint I have is after a couple weeks of use, the nozzle sprays out awkwardly and not directly on my hair. Therefore, I feel like I am wasting it.

Best for holding hair in place and shine

For years this has been my go-to hairspray for my naturally blonde and white streaked hair. It's been a good, hard hold for my fine, flyaway hair and didn't turn my hair dark. Yes, the nozzle would clog if I didn't spritz it with alcohol after use; but taking that one step was no big deal. Now....the hairspray doesn't clog as much as it used to. And it turns my hair dark and brassy. :( I wish I had saved the old bottle to see what they changed about the formula. Looks like I need a new go-to.

I will never order it again. It came without a spray nozzle. It is useless I wasted $18.never order it again

I use the entire line of Rusk Shine hair products and love this lightweight hair spray with firm setting power. It can hold up to our Texas humidity and lasts for days without too much build up. Easy to get out of your hair — my only complaint is that the lid clogs frequently and has to cleaned every other usage or so.

Great product

I bought this product because the label says “Brightening boost for platinum, silver, gray, white and blonde hair”. I expected my WHITE hair to be BOOSTED. Instead, it turned my white hair YELLOW. YUCK!
