Can I put these on the ground or on a table? or will they collapse?

They are meant to hang, but I put mine on Antanas that I got on Amazon and put them through the lid of this train car that I built. I was transporting my train car from the club to my house and to work which is 60 miles away and driving 80 miles an hour down the freeway the wires held up pretty good. You won’t be unhappy no matter how you use these.
