Sid Meier's Civilization VI - PlayStation 4

This is easily the best Civ game to date and very glad to be able to play on the PS4. There is definitely a little bit of a learning curve, especially if this is your first time playing a Civ game. The payoff is a wonderful experience with a replay value like no other. I honestly can't understand the negative reviews. Some complaints about the price, but that's not a surprise and it's the same price as it was new for the PC. This does not include 2 expansions, but why would it for this price? I may pick those up later, but the reviews are mixed for those anyway so maybe when there's a good sale. I think the controls work wonderfully and it is as easy as possible to manage your empire - although that can get challenging depending how vast your empire becomes. If you're looking for a reboot of Civ Revolutions - this is not it and that is a good thing to me. It's pretty clear what the price is and what you're getting - my only complaint is how many hours I have already spent on this game. If your a fan of the Civ series, or turn based tactics, or just want to check it out - I could not recommend this game more highly.

This is a great game with a significant amount of depth in building empires and cooperating with other nations -- or conquering them. You find yourself thinking, "Just one more turn" and next thing you know, your day is gone. Quite a few options on selections of empires, game-play modes, etc. Picked up at a good price too

Where the ZERO stars button when you need it. I read some one star reviews about this game and people complained it was too difficult. Which attracted me to it. So I bought it. X represents the Square button bc I can't type a square. So... Here's the game: X X X X left joystick. X X X X X left joystick. X X X X X left joystick. You don't have to understand anything. You don't have to think about anything. Just X X X X joystick. You could be a monkey and play this game. I was on the phone at one point while playing the game and I didn't pay any attention to it throughout the conversation, just kept hitting x x x left joystick. The interface is wretched. You have to click (you guessed it) left joystick to choose your units, which is tedious to start with but once you have entire armies it's just hell on earth to navigate. The game is also layers upon layers and then some more layers of inconsequential details to give the impression you're playing a game. But.. you're not. You're just hitting X X X X left joystick, like a mindless drone. Before you know it you've got a wonder and 6 cities and you feel about as fulfilled as.. well.. you don't. There's no sense of achievement at any point. Built a wonder? No you didn't.. you just X X X X X left joystick. Like a robot. So if you like a game that is completely unengaging that is exactly as rewarding to play whether you understand the game or not, this game is for you. If you look forward to sitting there for hours like a mindless drone hitting x x x x x left joystick with no need for your brain to participate, this is the game for you. Oh, and the tutorial? Don't worry.. just X X X X left joystick. You'll get through it whether you understand what's going on or not. I don't understand how people complain about not getting through the tutorial because it's as mindless as the rest of the game is. But if in doubt, just hit X X X X left joystick. I was going to include a video of my physically destroying this garbage, but thankfully the seller decided to take the return. So I'm definitely giving them my business again. Item got here on time, as described and in excellent condition. Trust the seller 100%. The game however, is wretchedly horrible garbage.

I love this game!

Loved Civilization Revolution on PS3, I started off with the demo, liked it so I got the game. Civ Rev was easy to learn, and I managed to work my way up to a few wins on Deity (the hardest setting). When Civ 6 was announced for PS4 I was pretty excited and pre-ordered my copy right away. The graphics are great, but the game is insanely hard. I can't even get a win on Settler (the easiest setting). I am in the lead right up to a few rounds before the game ends, and somehow I end up losing. What's worse is that there is no guide, and the in-game tutorial is very poorly done. There is a detailed "manual" online which should have been included with the game. The game is very complex. I'm still trying to improve, but it's not easy. I thought the easiest setting would be just that, but it's not. You have to be very patient and ready to lose. A lot. I can't believe they released it on Nintendo Switch before PS4 and XBOX. Also the fact that the dlc is so expensive is not cool - I mean the game's been out for about 3 years on PC. ***1/2 Update 12/10/2019 - Finally managed to get a Culture win on Settler a couple of days ago, it felt great! Bumping it up to Chieftain, after doing some reading online I have a bit better understanding of how it works. Adding half a star to my initial review.

Fantastic price at $20. Graphics great. Movement great. Evolution of life great. But its a terrible pain to fight somebody--all kinds of protections against invasion make it virtually impossible to win against AI. You can waste several hundred years just trying to take down a small country. I long for the days of Civ 4 or 5. Any port to PS4?

I started playing Civilization when it was a PC only game, in like 1997. It was on an ex girlfriends dads computer and I would play it for hours, much to her annoyance. My kids now have a similar concept on their iPads so I ordered it for the PS4, and of course I had to play it first. Next thing I knew it was 4 I’m the morning. The game play is unchanged and the tutorials are great. The graphics are good for the style of game it is. It’s a classic strategy game, you can’t really go wrong with it especially for the price.

Arrivati nei tempi dichiarati ed integro. Il gioco, per chi non lo conoscesse, è uno strategico in tempo reale, forse il più famoso e longevo insieme ad Age of Empires. Molto belli i dettagli grafici e sonori, la possibilità di customizzare i setup lo rende accessibile anche a chi vuole solo fare partite di conquista senza sviluppare le varie potenzialità (che sono tante). La possibilità di selezionare più di una ventina di civiltà diverse è sicuramente un plus. Unica nota negativa è che nelle mappe grandi con tanti players i tempi di attesa tra un turno e l'altro sono un pò lunghi e a volte il gioco si rallenta. Consigliatissimo.
