I'm here to buy a second because the first is so awesome. Ran into a situation today where I wanted to take my MCU out of the loop to see exactly what the computer was sending. Which means I need one for my transmit computer and my receive computer. This is so easy to use. and the voltage selection jumper is just genius. My preferred dev MCU is the latest Teensy, which is 3.3 V. Sometimes an Arduino is a better pick for the project, though, so I need 5v capability. No level shifters required here--just set the jumper. I love it.

I have been using this adapter for a few years now for all my ESPHome projects and absolutely love it! I've made custom cables I use for different types of devices I use it with so it is always ready to go. The fact it has voltage selection is super convenient as some of the devices in the ESP32 world need 5V and other 3.3V. Also, I use one of the pins (GND) for the cases in which you have to ground something to flash it. The fact it has a case is a MAJOR benefit compared to most other alternatives... who knows how many I would have shorted to date without a case! Absolutely recommend it!!

GREAT USB adapter with all RS-232 signals. Used to modulate a DTR pin from a USB port with excellent results - solved a problem I'd been working with for WEEKS! Not mentioned was that an approximately 11-inch interface cable is also supplied, and the unit came with TX and RX pins shorted with a jumpter to make it easy to see the interface was working. I will definitely recommend this product to others!

Worked great with my raspberry pi pico and Zero 2 W. I did have to manually install the drivers on my tablet running windows 10 using the exe from their site while my desktop automatically installed them under windows 11.

Works very well I haven’t had any driver issues or connectivity issues at all. These ttl uart adapters can be used for a very wide range of things. I made my own OBD 1 diagnostic cable was mine for older Chevrolet vehicles.

Do not buy it by the simple less expensive one and make it almost impossible to get the drivers and app to install to your computer I wish I never bought this piece of junk

Works perfectly. Flashed four ESP8285 devices with ESPHome the first day I got it and had absolutely no problems. I bought a cheap programmer directly from a Chinese reseller website and spent hours debugging issues before I concluded it was a bad programmer; this FTDI adapter immediately fixed my issue. Worked without additional configuration when plugged into my laptop running Bazzite Linux. Instructions include a QR code for Windows drivers, which I installed then tested this adapter to confirm it works on a Windows machine as well.

This serial adapter is awesome. It's plug and play with Windows 11 (my old one wasn't and wouldn't work anymore). The multiple voltages are awesome. It comes with a jumper for a loopback by default and has an adapter cable with it. It's everything you could dream of in a serial adapter.

Having wasted £5 on a cheap USB to serial converter on a popular online auction site only to find the drivers available wouldn’t work at all, this worked straight away with OSX Monterey - supported by drivers in the Apple kernel so no driver downloads required. The variable voltage level will be handy, and the clear plastic casing gives it a degree of protection meaning it should last a while. As with most things, to get what you pay for! Recommended.

Good quality, connected easily using windows pc (no third party driver required, tested on loop back with Putty out of the box) ran with 3.3v jumper and No issues. PCB good quality, it’s just what you would expect, it’s slightly higher price than the others but it worked without any drama
