What can I do? Liz **Q: How fast does it work?** A: If you put one on your dog before bed it will be working in the morning. Do I know in mins or hrs (no) I find these are good flea collars. I do switch to zodiac and hartz just to vary the control chemicals. **Q: Is this waterproof?** A: As far as I know, this is waterproof. **Q: does this collar kill mites ?** A: This product is a waste of money. I do not believe any over the counter products work for mites, fleas, eggs and tics. I purchase Seresto for fleas, eggs, and tics. Both of my cats lost fur around their necks while wearing it and were clearly uncomfortable the entire time. Their skin became irritated, and they ended up with blisters and sores that even bled in some spots. I had to remove the collars immediately and treat their skin.
