No matter how well made, he manages to scratch them, break them, even lose them. However, he loves wearing a watch (unlike most of his friends who use a pocket watch from Apple, Samsung or other cell phone makers :)). So I found these, and a handful of others, that look very nice, seem to keep time reasonably well, and are less expensive by the dozen than any of the better known watches my son has had. He loves this one the most, as the rectangular face is not the usual round, but he swaps this one out with the others on a regular basis. Oh, and yes, he has lost one and broken one since Christmas, but the others are still working, and given the price, I think this is a good watch, especially for a 16 year watch killer. The watch keeps very accurate time and is very light. You don't really notice it on your wrist. I've never been a fan of leather bands, but I am holding off changing to a metal band for now because that would add weight.Only four stars because there is no second hand.If your looking for a thin and lightweight watch for very little money, I don't think this one can be beat.UPDATE: I've had the watch for almost two months now. But it was incredibly thick not wanting to go up my shirtsleeve. I didn't want to wear it.I don't particularly like the fad of huge sized watches, especially on my narrow wrist.However, I found the rectangular case on this watch less overwhelming.
