Excellent Beginner Welder with Serious Power (Even on 110V) Has 220v converter!
I purchased the YESWELDER MIG-205DS PRO for my son, who is just getting started with welding, and we are both extremely impressed. First off, this machine is very beginner-friendly. The controls are intuitive, setup was straightforward, and it didn’t overwhelm him like some higher-end industrial welders can. That said, it definitely doesn’t feel like a “beginner-only” machine. What really surprised us is the penetration on 110V. My son specifically mentioned that even running on standard household power, the welds have solid penetration and consistency, which is something you don’t always see at this price point. When switched to 220V, it’s a completely different beast. The 5-in-1 multiprocess capability is a huge bonus: Gas MIG Flux Core MIG Spool Gun MIG (great for aluminum) Lift TIG Stick welding This makes it a welder he can grow into as his skills improve, instead of outgrowing it in a year. Build quality feels solid, the arc is smooth, and it runs reliably without random issues or overheating. For hobbyists, DIYers, and especially new welders, this is an outstanding value. If you’re looking for a versatile, powerful, and beginner-approved welder, this one is absolutely worth it. My son loves it, and I feel confident knowing he’s learning on a quality machine. Highly recommended 👍

Awesome welder, affordable, multi process and I am a 40 year welder. Not a hobby dude
Welder since early 80s, hands shake and I can't stick weld like I used to, so I finally got a mig/flux core, tig welder that is GREAT qualty, built great, welds great(flux core so far) that I could afford on a black friday sale. Hoped that my old tig gear would fit but I will have to put new lugs on the cables and get new gas hose. This thing is wonderful!. Even comes with a liner to change to use aluminum wire for welding aluminum, has all the wire drive rollers also. I will post pics at a later date as I use it more, gonna have to save up to get tanks for gases, they are expensive these days, more than the cost of the welding machine itself. I'm 62 and never thought I would see the day I would say that lol. I have owned a handful of fancy lincoln and miller machines, still have an old lincoln ac tombstone, and a small Hitbox dc welder for stick. But I know this jewel is going to be used exclusively from now on.

A well built attractive 200 amp welder, great price, great customer service. .
With the ever increasing number of cheap welders flooding the market, it is nice to see one with advanced features and good build quality. The Yeswelder Mig-205DS is an attractive, well built welder with a very sturdy metal case and advanced synergic circuitry. I am not sure how they can offer this much welder for $369. Like most off shore welders, the instructions are pretty vague so you are pretty much forced to use trial and error. The is also no welder settings chart. I will test the synergic settings against the setting chart I put together using Miller, Lincoln, and Harbor Freight welder settings. The duty cycle is outstanding if correct. 60% at 200 amps is identical to my vintage 350-400 pound Millermatic 200. It appears this is Yeswelder's first venture into welders however they have been selling helmets and other welding gear for a while. My welder arrived quickly from Amazon as always. The outer box was in good condition. However the welder box was obviously opened at some point. It has some damage. When I unboxed the welder I noticed some minor case damage and the wire access door was bound up and stuck. When I plugged it in I noticed the control panel was one showing 8.8.8 and all of the green LED's were lit. There was no control of the welder. Normally I would have just sent it back to Amazon however I wanted to see what Yeswelder would do. Yeswelder replied back immediately and asked a few questions. The offered an immediate replacement but I asked if they could send a replacement part and let me fix it without voiding my warranty. They agreed and sent a new panel immediately via DHL. It arrived within 5 days. When I removed the thick metal case I found the plug to the control panel was barely connected. I plugged it back in and tested the welder. It worked perfectly. The welder actually lays down some good welds based on the insurgic settings. It appears it only displays volts and amps. That is a little cumbersome because I am accustomed to seeing volts and wire speed. I will need to play with it more to figure everything out. I didn't use the mig gun included with the welder because I have a 4 meter 250 amp gun I bought for my Hitbox Mig200A. I am giving that welder to a family member along with the new gun from the Yeswelder Mig-205DS. Both welders have the wonderful European style connection. The included roller is set for 0.030 and 0.035 wire. You will need to buy a roller for 0.025 wire. The dust shield is a nice touch but the deep set and high mounted display is impossible to see without tilting the welder up or kneeling down. The Yeswelder has the ability to do scratch start TIG, however I will never use that feature so buying a tig torch isn't in my future. In fact I will never use the stick welding feature either. I have a Hobart AC-DC welder for those duties. I am giving 4 out of 5 stars because of the lack of good instructions, difficult to see display, and lack of wire speed control. I was told by Yeswelder the electrode holder and the ground cables I recieved were not Yeswelder accessories confirming my suspicion the welder I received was a returned item. The box was definitely re-taped. My experience with Yeswelder customer service has been outstanding. They have sent new displays, ground cable, and electrode holder to replace and repair the missing and damaged parts. They even sent me a spare main board. Again, their first choice was to send a completely new unit, but I chose to fix the welder. Very impressive customer service. Update. The new electrode holder and ground clamp are 10 foot heavy duty units. I mention above about their customer service. Today, unexpectedly, I received a very nice Yeswelder welding helmet as a gift for the issues I had. I really feel confident Yeswelder will stand behind their products. I added a welding chart I am using with the amp settings in case the units synergic

A simply stunning little machine
It has taken me most of a year from purchasing this welder to writing this review, because I wanted to put it through all its paces. After all, a machine that claims to be able to do every major welding process for under 400 bucks is… well, it’s gotta be lying somehow. Let me get the bad stuff out of the way first: the instructions are almost useless, the arc settings are confusing and almost willfully obscure (I had to watch so many YouTube videos to get MAG to work correctly) and there are little quirks that are just not mentioned anywhere, like the fact that it is only programmed to accept .035 flux core wire, but accepts three different sizes of MIG wire (still no idea why), and the internal mount for the roll of wire seemed- at first, second, and third glance- to be missing parts, but actually works on friction alone. It doesn’t match the diagram in the instructions at all, but it *does* work. Took me two emails to the company to sort that one out. So in terms of user friendliness, it’s pretty terrible. And… there ends the list of complaints. This little machine does everything it claims, and does it well. I couldn’t believe it the first time I set it up for TIG and discovered that it really does do Lift TIG, exactly as it claims. The current in all modes is perfectly steady, and it runs hot and clean at all times. I couldn’t get it to overheat, my half-inch plate workpiece was glowing red before the machine called it quits. I still don’t know where the cycle limits are, but they’re higher than I require. I’m real conservative when switching between 110 and 220, because the instructions to ‘wait 2 minutes’ is totally unclear, so I wait 2 minutes after plugging it into the new current level with the power switch off, and another 2 with the power switch on, just to make sure it has completely switched from 110 to 220 or vice versa before I use it. There’s no indicator or anything, but it does seem to switch back and forth just fine. Overall, if you’re willing to put up with the quirks, this is a fantastic machine for the money. It welds, you guys, it welds every kind of steel you can think of. It does its job brilliantly. I’m more than happy to put up with some quirks for performance like this. Money very well spent, and if YesWelder can improve their instructions and user interface, they could end up a serious player in the welding game. Edit 2024: please note that this review was for the previous-gen 'blue box' 205DS. I cannot speak to the current gen 'black box' version, except to say that it seems much improved over my version, and my blue welder is going strong three years later.

Amazing!!!
This little welder is a powerhouse man... I'm using it in flux core flavor at the moment as I don't own any argon tanks... Yet. And with just the Flux core wire this thing beats my old harbor freight unit out of the water. Not even halfway turned up. Running on 110 volt. This thing will burn a bead into a 3/16 plate like nothing. I could only imagine what this thing would do if I hooked it up to 220 volts... It also came with an extra liner for the mig gun so that you can run aluminum wire through the mig gun assuming you have your argon tank hooked up. It did also come with the gas line and the stick welder attachment. The duty cycle isn't as high as a millermatic would be, but that's to be expected at the price difference. So my best practice is to turn it on weld for a couple minutes. Let it run for the equal amount of time with no welding. Just the fan going. But I will tell you the fam that is in this thing pulls some serious airflow so I don't think it'll ever overheat itself with homeowner use. I don't know that I would use this in an industrial setting unless you were going to be stitch welding with it. Using it is really easy. It comes with a nice sheet that helps newer welders understand the voltage and speed of wire feed for a given thickness of material. It seems to weld very quickly and it's small enough that you could carry it around the shop if you don't have a welding cart. The ground clamp that it comes with is a little on the small side, but both sides of the clamp do have ground which is very nice and something you don't often see in the lower priced machines. The mig torch itself feels of good quality. Obviously nowhere near a Snap-On or millermatic but much much better than anything you would get from harbor freight excluding maybe their new higher end line. With the right settings and the right technique, it lays down. Very nice beads and even when I have my friends that have no welding experience use the machine they can also put down. Not terrible beads. LOL I also oddly enough. Really like the clear cover that covers the controls. I didn't think I would really care for that, but it is a much appreciated little detail that they put on the welder. Overall, for the cost, it's a fantastic welder and you can't go wrong. And while I haven't done any very extensive welding with it, I am 100% confident that it can handle everything. I will throw at it and the foreseeable future.

Buy this welder
For the price this welder kicks butt. I'd buy 2 of these for I buy and expensive one. Welds like a champ. And customer service is amazing!!! After running about 23 lbs of wire through it the trigger started sticking. Called them answered some questions sent a video and 4 days later they sent me a whole new lead.

Surprisingly, good quality
Before buying this, I wasn’t sure if this isn’t another Chinese over advertised click bait from Temu. First, I picked a well-known professional American brand. And returned that cr-p in next day. Then they give a try to this one and it was amazed. Super easy to set up and use. Even though it looks cheap it actually works well. Never had any welding experience, but I’ll learned that quickly and build my 20k project without an issue. Apparently Chinese brands surpassed American quality long time ago.

Great price, great welding machine!
Great welding machine, I really love it. The interface is very easy to understand and to change mode from Arc to MIG for instance. I used it both for fluxore and rod welding so far and it is doing a great job. Installation of wire is easy too and I live the button to feed the wire in the gun. Overall a solid choice for weekend warriors / fabriators at a nice price especially when on sale. Got it for around 375$ CAD if I remember correctly. I could not miss that deal and don't regret it at all. I also got the cotton jacket from Yeswelder and it's a good product too. I went too fast to choose the Fluxcore wire and got the general type (GS) but realised that I would be better with a multi pass wire E71T-11 ftom Hobart and it does a nicer job than Yeswelder' own E71T-GS or probably any other E71T-GS. My tip: grap some quality E71T-11 and live happy. 😉

Panel material seems to be not so good.
Received this welder today but the front panel was broken off from the lower side. I guess the panel's plastic material needs to be more robust and packaging materials can be improved. Item is getting returned. Update 10Jan2026: Purchased this machine again and was pleasantly surprised by great customer service from Yes Welder team. Tried Yes Welder's 0.035" flux core wire with 240V and results are nice. Tried a few test beads varying the voltage and welded 3/16" thick plate with great results.

Just Say Yes
My qualifications to write this review? Not many, but I’m probably the hobbyist demographic the machine is aimed at. I took a one-week Mig course at a community college 20 years ago, and then bought a very expensive Miller that saw little action. Sold it, and a few years ago, bought a Lincoln AC 220 for a single project, taught myself to make ugly stick welds that stuck, and sold it, too. Last year I bought the little $100 Hitbox200 to repair an ornamental gate, which, somewhat surprisingly, it did. But, I really wanted a multi machine just because. Unfortunately, these (used to) start at a $1,000 and go up rapidly, and there’s no way I could justify it. Then, I came across a bunch of remarkably positive reviews on the curiously named $500 Yeswelder MIG-205DS. So, I said yes and ordered one. The Amazon web-site lists the items that are included in the price, and several YouTube videos show un-boxing and operation. In any event, my box arrived unscathed and complete, each accessory in its own plastic bag, all good quality, as is the welder itself. As many US reviews have demonstrated, this welder comes ready to deliver three processes very well: arc, gas Mig, and gasless Mig. Insofar as Mig is concerned, the drive mechanism is metal, and 2 wheels allow 4 wire sizes. It will also do Tig – lift only - with the separate purchase of a Tig torch and pedal. Its ‘synergic’ control panel simplifies settings, but also allows over-rides. It operates on 230 and 110 current, but to get the best out of it, the circuits need to have at least 30 amp and 20 amp breakers respectively. It will not weld aluminum for several reasons, primarily because it does not provide AC. The down-sides are few. The machine can use both 2 pound and 10 pound wire spools. (The large reel uses the big plastic washer, the smaller reel does not.) While insetting the control panel protects it from harm, it’s hard to make and see the settings. The solution is to make a cart that tilts the unit about 20-25 degrees, or just put it on a high shelf. The fan is noisy, but that’s true of all welders. But, the lack of a good, detailed manual is a PITA. The ‘synergic’ panel pretty provides the necessary info, but there’s no guide on how to get started. YouTube to the rescue plus, lots of settings charts and aps on the Internet. PS: When I bought the Lincoln, I also had to buy a helmet etc, etc, but this time kept the extras when I sold it. Apparently, Yeswelder's primary business has been helmets, and the machines are a new product. In any event, if you're in the market, a quick look on-line suggests they offer a lot of tech at similarly reasonable prices.

Leaked gas from start but over all great little welder.
I went back and forth on 3 or 4 stars. The gas connection at the back is not a proper tapered fit so you will need to buy a proper connection back there. This is a poor issue to have when putting the right connection on there is so easy. Other then that the unit welds great and is very easy to set up and dial in. The unit came with 2 o-rings but I can’t for the life of me figure out where they would be use. It tried them on the back gas connection but that was definitely not it. If anyone knows what those are for I’d appreciate you telling me. Update - Sept 13th 2021. I've got a few hours on this machine now and I'm very impressed. I'm welding 3/8" steel with good penetration. hopefully I can try some 1/2" in the near future.
