Review: My wife has promoted me to “Chef” from Sous Chef because of this book. A must have! - desertcart people, this book is excellent! Really. A must have for anyone who has undertaken cooking with the Instant Pot. At best I am a novice sous chef — an assistant not a full-fledged chef. For years I have labored over the mysteries of cooking under the expert umbrella of my Italian wife whose family taught her generations of recipes as a child. I walked in her shadow. Due to a car accident and hand injury I had to do the cooking. I was intrigued by the Instant Pot that my daughter-in-law had, so I took the plunge and bought one on desertcart. Then what? OK, they had some recipes on an app, but, again, I am a babe in the woods when it comes to cooking. Then I found this book. Wow. Pictures, step-by-step, explanations, ingredient lists — it’s all there! If you can read, you can cook like a chef with this book as your guide. I’ve done maybe a dozen of the 100 recipes and each came out deliciously. I shared left-overs with friends that were “chef” quality people and they loved them! It even covers what Instant Pot cooking is all about. And, on pages 38-41, it has Cooking Charts for other generic foods. I would recommend getting the spiral version as it stays open so you can follow the step-by-steps without the book collapsing on you. What more to say? Easy a “5-star” and has made me enjoy cooking like never before as I can be competent! My wife is marveling at her new chef husband. Review: BEST COOKBOOK EVER! DO NOT look any further! Stop, put this in your cart and BUY IT! - Every so often I post a product review and I rarely post pictures but HOLY COW MOUTH JOY! This cookbook is absolutely amazing! Every recipe is easy to understand and the estimated times for prep and cooking are spot on! The ingredients are (for the most part) normal pantry staples. Several ingredients like chicken stock, cooking sherry, and spices carry across several different recipes so you won't be spending a ton to make just one recipe. So here's what I've made so far: Hard Boiled Eggs. No brainer. That was the 1st thing I made to learn how to use the InstaPot. The eggs came out P E R F E C T! Not rubbery, not hard to peel, not over or undercooked. SO easy! Pot Roast: WOW WOW WOW! We actually used a roast a little bigger than the recipe called for so we just calculated how much cooking time per pound and adjusted. The meat was so flavorful all the way through and fall apart delicious! The potato, onion and carrots came out just right and the gravy was tantalizing! Super easy, fast and easy! Ribs: OMG! In the past I would season the ribs, cook them on 250 degrees with beer for HOURS in the oven and THEN put them on the grill. They were dang good but THESE.... HOLY WOW! I never would have thought to cook ribs in APPLE JUICE and Apple Vinegar. I actually cringed making it figuring it would just be OK. Let me tell you, that this recipe is scrumptious! The ribs are fall of the bone tender and the flavor is all the way through the meat. They were so good we've already made this recipe twice! Clam Chowder: HOLY COW! I've always wanted to make homemade New England Clam Chowder and THIS is the perfect recipe! We added 1 extra can of clams (because I like more!) and we did the Cornstartch Slurry at the end to make it a bit thicker and chicken broth option over the clam juice. The first time we made we just put it in bowls with crusty bread for dipping! WONDERFUL! The second time we made it we did do the bread bowls and WOW! I seriously will NEVER EVER EVER buy canned NE Clam Chowder again! Super fast, easy and delightful! Tortilla Soup: Yum x 100! SUPER easy! I was out of fresh chicken breast so we used 2 lbs of already diced (frozen) chicken and instead of fresh jalapeno I used a small can of diced jalapenos. We also didn't have Cilantro so we just used a dash of parsley. I absolutely LOVE tortilla soup and eat it every time I see it on the menu. We topped it with fresh avacado, shredded colby jack and some tortilla chips and absolutely perfecto! We also did the cornstarch slurry for this one to thicken it up a bit and the texture was just right. I've attached pictures of both soups. And yes, they were even better leftovers! I have several other pages bookmarked to try and hubby and I are like little kids on Christmas trying to decide what to try next! I've purchased many cookbooks in the past and ended up quite dismayed at the complexity or the blandness of the recipes. NOT this book! The writer of this book has done an absolutely amazing job of creating recipes that are family friends, easy to use and full of taste! BEST! COOKBOOK! EVER! Buy it now!

Love This Book!!!!
First off...I only received this book yesterday afternoon. I had pre ordered this book after watching Jeffrey Eisner's You Tube video last week, about operating the Instant Pot Duo Crisp Air Fryer. His video was by far the best and most complete as far as the, "how tos". I had just purchased this Instant Pot, and the included instructions, as well as the Instant pot product video still left me with a lot of questions. After watching Jeffrey's video, I really got it. I also found some great recipes on Jeffrey's website. Really simple to follow! Thanks to Jeffrey's clear and concise steps, I was not only off and running, but successful on my first go! So, when I saw that he was launching his cookbook, I did not hesitate. I immediately pre ordered. I had ordered a few Instant Pot books from other authors recently, and none had photos, and most included so many recipes I would probably never make. They did not include any of the basics. I wanted simple and basic....so I could better understand my Instant Pot, make some of the recipes, and later tweak or change them up if I wanted something different. I wanted recipes I could build on, and a better understanding of how to fully utilize my Instant Pot. Jeffrey's book fulfills all of those dreams! It does not disappoint! He includes not only simple basic recipes, but beautiful step by step photos. This is a book you will want if you're considering buying an Instant Pot, or if you already have one, and want to do more with it. He's also added basic, "how to" operating instructions for your instant pot, general cooking charts, and suggestions on altering recipes if you are going gluten free or are cooking keto. He's included tips for stocking your pantry (so you can be prepared to easily throw a meal together). He's also suggested helpful accessories and tools you might consider adding to your Instant Pot arsenal. There's a trouble shooting part, and much much more! My biggest problem is deciding which of recipes I want to cook for dinner tonight! I'm so excited to have this book!! I know already that it's going to be my favorite!! I plan to order copies for my family and friends who have Instant Pots!! Thanks Jeffrey for writing this book! I'm already looking forward to your next book! :)

The one I recommend to friends
I use this cookbook all the time. I recommend it to friends who are starting out with pressure cookers. I give it as gifts. The recipes are reasonably easy to make, and the ingredients are generally easy to get. Everything I've tried to make is delicious. That being said, the recipes are high in salt and high in fat. (Does every recipe need extra cream cheese?) I tend to cut both down considerably, and the recipes are still good. There is a handy table for pressure cooking common items (like vegetables), though it is buried between basic recipes and the main recipe section, so it's hard to find. There are usability issues. The book itself--at least my copy--is poorly bound, and broke because I held it open. It's a cookbook. Of course you have to prop it open to use it. So now my copy is broken and falling apart, but I still use it because the information is so good.

This is the ONLY Instant Pot Cookbook you need!
I bought my Instant Pot in November of 2018, and it sat in the box for about a month until I had the courage to open it and use it. I had used a stove top pressure cooker for years, so I don't know why I was so cautious. Searching recipes online, I kept coming across Pressure Luck Cooking videos with Jeffrey Eisner and he made it look so easy, with humor, down to earth tips, and amazing yet easy dishes. I dove in with my Instant Pot, and now I don't know how I cooked without it. Jeffrey changed the way I cook, for the better, and I am so grateful. His recipes are fool proof, and always flexible with ingredients. Since I'm usually cooking for one, I can cut recipes in half, or make the whole recipe and have leftovers plus more to freeze. I especially love the Chicken & Dumplings since my first home was in the South and they taste just like my mother made it. I think I cried a little when I first tasted it. She would be so proud, and also amazed at how much time is saved with the Instant Pot. The Sausage and Spinach soup (Zuppa Toscana) is to die for, and is another favorite. All the pasta dishes are delicious, easy, and always come out perfectly. I have never had one of Jeffrey's recipes fail me. Even if I substitute some ingredients, or omit some (like onions), the dish still comes out perfectly and always delightful. His Beef Stroganoff and Pot Roast alone are worth buying the cookbook! Amazing! Jeffrey's Chili recipe consistently wins prizes at Chili Cook-Offs, and for good reason. Every recipe is tried and true. This cookbook goes the extra mile in getting folks started with the Instant Pot, showing all the tips and tricks and takes the fear and worries away. Jeffrey has done an excellent job in explaining every detail, and there is a photo for every single step. That is so helpful. Instant Pot cooking frees up time and space and uses fewer dishes and utensils. I usually just have to wash the liner, lid, seal, a cutting board, a couple of utensils and a measuring cup. Plus, it can all go in the dishwasher, except for the lid. So easy. Buy the book, use that Instant Pot, you'll want to use it for every meal! Thank you, Jeffrey!

The Very Best Cookbook of All Time!
I stumbled upon Jeffrey Eisner in January 2019 when I was searching for recipes for my brand new pressure cooker by Mealthy, which I absolutely love BTW, on YouTube. Lo and behold was a recipe for Jewish Brisket. Perfect. On came the video, and there he was with a big welcoming smile on his face, promising ME that I’m gonna love his Brisket, then he goes about showing you just how easy it is for you to make in your own pressure cooker. Step by step by step, with his funny and clever asides along with his helpful hints, along with perfect shots of every item, how the meat should look when it goes into the IP, the cut-up onions, etc.., as he continues showing the process from beginning to end. But I didn’t want it to end. He was such a delight to watch that I watched several more of his pressure cooking videos that night. I made his Brisket the next day. Honestly, it was at least as good as made by my favorite Jewish Deli, Chompie’s, here in Scottsdale, AZ. And Jeffrey essentially wrote his cookbook the same way he does his videos. Step by step by step. All the photos are wonderful, about 750 in all. Yes, each step is photographed in a perfect small square and the finished product, a much larger photo, shows just how all your work will look on the plate, or in the bowl, etc. So kudos to Mr. Zozulya, for his wonderful photography. For each of his recipes, Jeffrey first includes some clever remarks like, “When fall runs around, so does college football, and the only thing getting in between my partner, Richard, and the colors orange and blue and a pigskin is this Beer Cheese Soup. The hot pretzel to dip in it is a touchdown in itself.” Now wouldn’t that make you want to try that recipe? I certainly will do just that come the fall ‘cause Mr. Zozulya’s photo of the finished product will make you want to make it too! I read half the recipes last night into the wee hours. Couldn’t put it down. Enjoyed every minute of it while chuckling over his clever and delightful commentary about each recipe. He’s quite The Entertainer, just like he is on his marvelous YouTube cooking videos. One last thing, whoever manufactures the Instant Pot owes him big time. Their corporate office should put a full-size statue of Jeffrey in front of their entrance for everyone to see. Why? If the cookbook is properly advertised, they’ll sell millions more of its IPs. And if it isn’t in Costco yet. they’re making a huge mistake, as most cookbook owners like to touch/peruse such books before they buy. Everything about this cookbook is PURE PERFECTION. And if you’re new to cooking, it will make you a great cook! Trust me. Maggie Cava

Many outstanding recipes
This is my favorite Instant Pot cookbook. The Swedish Meatballs and award winning chili are by far my favorite recipes in this cookbook. The recipes are clearly written with step-by-step illustrated photos. Very easy to follow recipes. I’ve used this cookbook so much that the binding is failing. Please consider this cookbook especially if you are new to Instant Pot cooking. Highly recommended.

The BEST pressure cooker/Instant Pot cookbook EVER!!! 10 STARS!!!
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST pressure cooking cookbook EVER! I’ve purchased SEVERAL pressure cooking cookbooks ranging from poor to not bad. I just kept searching and could never find that perfect all around book. My question for that book seemed endless for one that was organized, simple to follow and didn’t leave me wondering what my finished dish would actually turn out like. I ran across a site called Pressure Luck. Jeff, the creator of Pressure Luck would post videos cooking with his Instant Pot and showed the process step by step. Pressure Luck became my go to for AWESOME, EASY recipes that even I felt confident to make. Jeffrey’s love for cooking, helping others achieving success in their cooking and his wonderful humor have been a bright spot in my quest to create great tasting, easy to prepare food. Many of us that followed Jeff hoped he would do a cookbook...WISH GRANTED!!! This book is organized, well put together with step by step pictures of the process AND PICTURES OF THE FINISHED DISH. NO GUESSING!!! There are tips EVERYWHERE! This is the BEST cookbook I own! NOW we gotta get him to a 2nd book😁🥰

Easy to read and follow instructions
This is a fantastic cookbook for anyone who is starting out with their Instant Pot. The instructions and photographs are easily understood and the side notes are invaluable for making simple additions and replacements for missing items in your pantry. Hat's off to the chef! UPDATE APRIL 2022: I have made so many recipes from this illustrated book. The instructions are simple and the pictures are easy to follow and make exactly what he says in the recipe. Ingredient substitutions are sometimes difficult to find here in the UAE. But I have managed. All in all: it's an excellent addition to my kitchen recipe collection.

Great book but US measures
Great book, nice clear recipes with step by step instructions but in US measurements. Wish it has a conversion chart included. No need to do the whole book, but just a reference chart would go a long way.

One of my best cookbook purchases
This is one of my favourite cookbooks. I’ve bought a few that end up going unused after a while but this one is still in rotation. The pictures are so well done and the step by step ones have saved me a few times from forgetting a part when I’m interrupted. We have loved every recipe we have tried. There aren’t any hard to get ingredients in the book either which is nice, most of it is stuff we already have although I did try boursin cheese on his recommendation and it’s a staple in our house now too. I also love the authors Facebook page and personality too so buying this cookbook and his newer one were easy decisions.
