Recently I had blood tests to check on a condition which my GP said may require me to take a high dose of Vitamin D for a long period of time. I said I was already taking a supplement but he said it would be unlikely to be sufficient. When the results came back, I was advised to stop taking the supplement as my Vitamin D levels were double the top of the normal expected rate! It will be checked again in 6 months.
