APOC Wasteland Gladius Sword SD35570

This is a solid blade and very sharp. It makes a great home defense weapon. Too bad my C&C license doesn't cover this.

I own all of the APOC swords and I consider the Wasteland Gladius and the Katana their flagship swords. This thing is a beast! The bulkiest of the APOC swords, it's the wrecking ball of the line up. The Kydex sheath is good quality and locks firmly in place but not so much so that you can't easily draw the sword. Definitely worth the money!

Needs hilt or some sort ofgrip. Wrap 550 cord aroundthe hilt and leave a skinny section in the middle so the blade will not slip if you God forbid have to use this

Blade arrived with chips in its edge and multiple nicks and rust as well. Blueing was scuffed near the handle where the blade meets it as well as flat out scratched. The spot where the hilt would be had a pretty decent burr on it that actually cut me and left a sliver under my skin. Feels sturdy but not real sharp, more consistent with a heavier tool edge than a thinner slashing machete but I knew this already. Not real impressed. If anything else goes wrong I'll send it back and change the review. If you're on the fence about buying probably don't.

Very very nice sword! Well balance and superb cutting and stabbing power! And I got it for a good deal 160$! I’m ready for Zombie head lopping!

Very heavy - probably 3/4 lb. heavier then it might be. Of course, the grip is long enough for both hands, so that's probably a good bit of the extra weight. All function, nothing pretty about it other than blade shape. Center of balance about 2.5" in front of the "hilt". The hilt won't really provide any protection for the hands. Sharpening was uneven out of box. I like it. Great steel!

The blade hits a lot of marks, its very tough, its a great length, the handle is long enough for 2 hands (awesome), its straight and the well made. The leaf design is also very nice, so what are the bad points? It has a few two that go together. First is the blade is too thick (this is the major flaw), this make it very strong BUT it makes the blade heavy and hard to use one handed. The bigger issue with the thickness is the way it cuts, the blade cuts poorly and almost splits like an axe instead of cutting like a sword. The sheath doesnt lock well but its hard to complain about that for the price. Overall for the price its still a nice blade but if you want a fast one hander that cuts really well this isnt the one out of the box at least.
