PUR Water Pitcher & Dispenser Filter Replacement 2-Pack, 4-Month Value

These filters are much faster than the PUR Plus ones. I originally bought the PUR 30-Cup Water Filter Dispenser, but the filter that it came with slowed down to almost not letting any water through. When using the PUR Plus version, I filled the top basin and waited for 20 minutes and there was still virtually no water in the bottom part. I know these don't filter out as much as the Plus version, but I'm happy they're at least working. Water tastes better and it's certified to remove some contaminants. I started looking at off-brand filter replacements, but the whole point of the filter is to purify the water and I wanted an NSF certified filter. So that's why I stuck with PUR. The filter obviously fit perfectly in the dispenser, being that it's made by the same company. Installation is designed intuitively, just insert filter into the dispenser and rotate about a quarter-turn. I got 4 for $23 which seems like great value, considering that these last for approximately 2 months/40 gallons. Will update this review if my experience changes.

I use these in my PUR water pitcher. Easy to use, just make sure you get all of the loose charcoal out with some good rinsing first. It really does help with the flavor of the water I am using. Compared to other filters these have a good price.

I have been using a PUR filtering pitcher for years and have enjoyed and appreciated how well it works. A few weeks ago I needed new filters and thought I would save a couple of dollars ( as everyone is trying to do these days ) so I bought a non PUR filter replacement. Huge mistake, two of the four cartridges failed and the manufacturer would not replace them, lesson learned!

Only reason a star was taken off was because occasionally the water won’t filter and it needs to be pulled out and reinserted to have the water drain down. Otherwise pretty reliable and I can always taste the difference when it’s close to time to change the filter.

I keep a 40 ounce metal Tumblr with me at all times. I bet I fill it up six times a day. I was filling it up from the water dispenser in our refrigerator and doing so happily. Then one day my husband came home with one of these water pitchers. I was not happy with the frivolous purchase, with the space it was going to take up in my refrigerator, and with another consumable filter that I have to buy so that it functions properly. Jokes on me! We keep our pitcher on the counter and it saves me literally 60 seconds every single time I fill up my water cup. Now that might not seem like a lot of time to you, but when you fill your cup as frequently as I do, it matters. The filters for this water pitcher are expensive. I’ve got no lie to tell. But when you buy them in a book pack like this, you save so much money! Not to mention the water is filtered and taste amazing. It’s also the only filtered water I have ever used in my Netty pot that doesn’t burn my nose. That’s how I know that it’s filtered well! I won’t go back to using Refrigerator water ever again!

If you’re like my family you like to both stay healthy as well as save money whenever possible. With that it mind we purchased PUR water filter cartridges & a PUR water dispensing pitcher so we weren’t having to keep buying bottled purified & spring waters for drinking, cooking, & filling our pets’ water fountains. We also felt good about this as we wouldn’t be polluting the planet further with microplastics by adding extra non reusable plastic water bottles to our family’s carbon footprint. We were rewarded with good tasting clear filtered water not to mention the savings over stopping buying bottled water. Everyone was happy & satisfied. That was until trying to surprise us by doing something nice our son ainadvertently ordered a set of generic water filter replacement cartridges by mistake in place of the PUR ones we ourselves have always ordered. Lesson learned. We thanked our son for his thoughtful, kind, & caring gesture but after trying the generics there is just no way we’re ever going to be buying anything but the name brand PUR water filters again. When using my the filters made by PUR the water has had less particulate matter in it, tasted better, & the difference in price is not that much more that what the compatible generic filter cost.

This filter works for my older pur dispenser. Ive used pur filters for dispenser for many years. Discard first fill/drain before drinking. Water tastes great !

Bought these for a backup while our RO was getting repair parts. We used their heavy metal version back when Pb was the show stopper. Now that we move to another municipality where Mn is the problem, this drip filter is good enough. Fast.
