They draw much more power than modern keyboards do.** A: Works flawlessly with my 1984 IBM Model M clicky. It has a PS/2 cable that plugs directly into this adapter (not the large DIN plug). **Q: Is This an active converter and not a Passive physical adapter which requires that the devices can speak both languages?** A: It would have to be active. Drawing current from the USB port. It “speaks” both USB and PS/2 **Q: Is this an active or passive adapter** A: itz active, you plug it in and itz live...works great ! **Q: Will this work with an Xbox?** A: I don't know if it would work with an Xbox. Sorry. Ours did not work at all upon arrival, and the seller would not exchange it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's ok but *by A***. on 3 December 2021* Its ok but it doesn't have the appropriate scancode for the scroll lock key ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by D***N on 27 September 2025* Good product 👍🏻 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by A***. on 21 September 2021* Llegó a tiempo y en buen estado, en las ultimas semanas no ha dado proble alguno y me permitio dar uso de nuevo a mi viejo teclado ## Frequently Bought Together - Monoprice PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse to USB Converter Adapter, Black - Moread HDMI to VGA, Uni-Directional Gold-Plated HDMI to VGA Adapter (Male to Female) for Computer, Desktop, Laptop, PC, Monitor, Projector, HDTV, Chromebook, Raspberry Pi, Roku, Xbox and More - Black - UCEC PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse Male to Male Extension Cable, 6 Pin 3.28 Feet PS2 Mouse Keyboard Converter for PC Scanner Speaker DVD Player --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/154745188-monoprice-ps-2-keyboard-mouse-to-usb-converter-adapter-black](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/154745188-monoprice-ps-2-keyboard-mouse-to-usb-converter-adapter-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
