Review: Versatile and light pan - One of my favourite kitchen pans. Great for pasta, but I use it more for making soups and on the hob casseroles. Strong and durable, but also light (I hate heavy pans that are even heavier when full of food). Easy to pick up. The lid clicks on but not too tightly. This is my second pan. The first lasted about 15 years, and it 2as used a lot. It is a bit of a wait for delivery (several weeks) but we'll worth it.

**Q: Is this compatible with magnetic induction stoves? Thanks!**
A: Sorry...no it isn't. I just tried the magnet test and the magnet did not stick to it.

**Q: When do you put the cover on? At beginning of cooking or after it is done?**
A: I put it on while cooking to keep the heat in and get it to boil faster. Then I use it to poor the water out to drain.

**Q: Does this have a disc on the bottom, or is it sealed all the way around the pot ("triclad")? Thanks!**
A: It does have a disc on the bottom of the pot with their brand name on it, but it does appear to Be completely sealed. I don't believe this is an issue and it really is a great pot. I would not hesitate to get it

**Q: There was a stainless steel version of this I saw in youtube. Will that be available? Thanks!**
A: I purchased the stainless steel version a few months ago

The Bialetti pasta pot is the best and most lightweight and versatile pot we’ve ever had. The first two we owned were purchased in ignorance of how amazing they were and lasted over 10 years. It was a shock to see the current price but researching the alternatives led to choosing the same pot again. We love the all black finish and of course it works beautifully like the previous ones. We cannot recommend it highly enough!
