Five stars for quality, elegance, and design. I bought this set together with the Cappuccino set (8 oz.) because I wasn't sure how big they really were in real life. I am used to drinking coffee from a large mug the kind that needs two hands to carry it. Now I have my amazing Jura coffee maker and wanted something elegant that goes with it. Something transparent that shows the latte macchiato. Although this one is much smaller than my huge mug, I am really happy with it for one reason: I am not drinking the standard coffee with milk and sugar as I used to do for ages. I am now into gourmet style coffee drinking. For those who are interested in measurements, the cup is about 4-1/4 inches high and 3-1/2 inches diameter on top and about 2-1/4 inches at the bottom. And the size is perfect for my needs. As I said, five stars because the glass is really thick, the shape is beautiful, and the removable handle is a nice piece of art. Update 2/18/2013: Although the handle can be removed, you should not do that. I put the glass with its handle attached in the dishwasher. If you start removing and putting the handle back with every wash you will end up with a handle that will become loose and will not be able to hold the cup.

Really like these cups. They are functional and real eye grabbers. Good quality as well.

Make sure you read the reviews about the metal base before purchasing! I did, and I carefully inspected each of the bases as soon as I got them. They arrived packed well and in perfect condition. The metal ring is designed to slide off, and after some cautious testing I noticed that some of the rings were looser than others, making it easier for them to pop off. Luckily, as I was prepared for this. I had already purchased a tube of Dap 00688 adhesive, and cleaned and glued them on firmly before doing anything else. The adhesive is clear and dishwasher safe, which worked out perfect for it. I just wiped the excess epoxy off before it set and you can't even tell it's there. The glasses themselves are gorgeous. Beautiful design, smooth rim, flawless glass, and a comfortable, unique handle.

Fancy, beautiful, functional. These make my cappuccinos look as good as they taste. They are beautiful and so nice. They are smaller than most coffee “mugs,” so definitely know what size you need. I love these.

I bought these cups to use with my Nespresso. They look extremely elegant and have held up extremely well. The glass is thick and not one of the cups have broken (I've had them for almost a year now). They work perfectly for the Nespresso lungos or if you'd like to make a latte. For the lungo alone, only about half the cup is filled (a lungo is about 4 oz, but the cup is more narrow on the bottom). I would probably buy the 7.5 oz cups next time because of this. But the 11 oz is nice if adding milk. The only issue I've had with these cups, and the reason this review is a 4 star and not 5 star, is that the metal handle isn't the most secure. For the most part, the cup sits securely in the metal ring. But if the cup is not completely embedded in the ring, it's liable to slip out! This has happened only once to me. But I also make sure it's secure and tight every time... the only nuisance. I appreciate, however, that you can remove the ring so that you can wash the cups thoroughly. I've received many compliments on this set. I'll probably end up getting the 7.5 oz cups and 3.5 oz espresso sized cups (although my classic white cafe espresso cups are serving me well!).

Sturdy, well made and attractive. Good for larger espresso shots. Easy to handle.

We used these glasses at our rented vacation house in North Carolina and absolutely loved the size and look of the glasses! Typically glasses like these are great for juice, tea, or in our case Kiefer water. You can use this hot or cold!
