It's chromed! *by I***O on Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2018* I haven't installed it in the car, yet, so I'll have to be updating you on the performance of this thing.The downside of it, as you've read in the title, is that the picture shows the alternator as being painted a glossy black colour to match the stock appearance of my '69 318 engine, I guess. But the reality is that it's a chromed casing.It does not exactly fit the factory looks of my V8; nevertheless, I won't be returning it because I am certain that its performance will make my head shy away from the colour fact.Now it's installed!It kinda blends in with the shine the engine turquoise gives out. Dunno know! Theoretically that’s a reverse bait and switch. $20 discount!Also, description indicated this as a one wire alternator, but it is a standard square back dual field. As with most aftermarket parts on amazon, best to cross reference with the product website.Alternator itself is really nice. I wanted the black but chrome looks great.
