Maternity and Pediatric Nursing 2nd Edition

I tried so hard to get through the semester without buying this book but I finally caved in and immediately regretted putting the purchase off. It is so detailed and clear that I had really been missing out by relying on the ATI text and lecture.

The book is definitely new, and as expected! The shipping people really need to get their acts together though, it was dented and parts of the cover damaged. I could tell it's a brand new book, but I'm assuming shipping hurt it.

Came early just in time for my first test of the semester. E books are so hard for me to study by. Glad I found this one!

Freaking long and huge textbook. It was mandatory. Had a lot of useless and repetitive stuff, but if you were able to get past all the pretentious big words you could get what the author was trying to say. I wish I could remember all of it though. But >2000 pages, I think I barely retained 10 pages from the whole book. I liked this one a bit more than my other nursing school books because it had quite a few pictures and diagrams unlike other textbooks that just have gigantic blocks of words with no breaks in between.

Book came brand new. It's a huge textbook but it is loaded with information. I would recommend this to any nursing student that loves reading a textbook as a reference to understanding material.

A lot of the things in this book are VERY old timey.. As in, they have come up with so many evidence based practice items that makes half this book obsolete. It is not a bad book since I needed it for nursing as a required book, but my teacher tends to use EBP more than this book. Its very heavy, and I believe we could of lived without buying this...

Book was very easy to read. Good examples were given and easy to read paragraphs. Although not a whole lot of images on the pages the examples gave a mental picture of what was being described.
