The overall experience of installing it was fun, somewhat frustrating and a learning opportunity for sure. My only advice is to take it slow, watch as many videos as possible and be EXTRA careful when you unscrew the outside Switch and Joycon screws, as they are VERY soft and they WILL strip easily! I ended up stripping three screws and had to rip off my old back plate (I do NOT recommend this) to unscrew the stripped screws with pliers. The installation was made harder by my own negligence. Always be careful and never keep forcing the screwdriver if it will not catch on the screw. If you reach a point where your screw is starting to strip, try using a different screwdriver. If that isn't working, try using a rubber band for traction, or carefully and firmly pressing the screwdriver head into the screw and GENTLY wiggling back and forth. Beautiful shell for both the back plate and joycons, my only issue being the fact that the back plate came with a tiny and dark stain that won't come off. But overall, I highly recommend these to anyone who has the time and patience to tackle the task!

I got the sakura pink backplate and the color is super cute! Great value for your money. It includes replacement screws which 100% recommend replacing, especially the Y screws since they strip easily (I learned the hard way and stripped 2). It's super easy to install and fits great. No problems with the screw holes or anything. I will say that the sides go oh so slighty over the front piece but I don't have problems sliding on the joy-cons and don't need to shave anything off (see attached photo). Best part is that it comes with the kickstand, sponge and vent stickers needed to install, just reuse the hardware from the old one. :) Happy customizing!

I am absolutely in love with this shell. The quality and matte color is so nice on the eyes. I'm really hoping to see a shell of the same color for the pro controller soon. Installation for the back cover was pretty easy, the first joycon was a little tough for me as it was my first time ever doing a shell mod, but after getting the first one down the second one was easier. I highly recommend this product and the matching joy con set. Thank you so much!

Does not come with the brackets that are screwed into it in behind the cover so make sure you keep the originals. However I love this new cover 😍

It's easy to install, sheerness, the backplate is excellent. The only point against is the tool, the tri-wing screwdriver is not that strong enough, I had to use another one, because I was damaging the screw.

I bought this along with joycon shells and buttons. I love the look and feel and the color is true to picture. The included screwdrivers were not usable in this kit. The ends were damaged and frayed which caused a stripped screw on the backplate and made it a nightmare to get out. Part manufacturing error part user. Had I noticed the issue I would have not used it. The replacement screws are great! I replaced all the y's with them and they work so much better for me. Super easy to install once you get the original plate off and the kick stand feels a lot more durable that the original also. I don't use it often but it doesn't worry me to open it like the one Nintendo includes. Four stars for poor quality screwdrivers.

I needed a replacement for the back plate on my switch after the kick stand cracked. This back plate was super easy to install and looks great on my switch.

Could probably replace the back shell in about 15-20 minutes now only slightly using a video as reference. The one thing to keep in mind is that the little arm stand does take a little bit of force to remove, and you'll need to unscrew the little latch to add it to the red arm stand. Just waiting for new D-Pad controllers now. The other important concern with the Red (Soft Touch) it will show finger prints, and any oily skin marks, unsure on how to clean/remove that if at all possible. It does feel very nice either way though and fit perfectly. Likely going to replace this with a different one (from the same seller/company) as I just don't like oily fingerprints, unless I can find a way to easily clean it.

Je voulais "pimper" ma switch qui est à présent hors garantie. Je n'ai pris que le kit pour changer la coque de la switch elle-même, pas les joycon. Je suis très satisfait, la coque se remplace plus facilement que celle des Joycon. La procédure en vidéo se trouve sur Youtube et est très claire. Il faut suivre pas-à-pas le tuto en vidéo et tout se passe sans problème. La coque de remplacement est identique à la coque d'origine, les trous minuscule tombent parfaitement en face. Deux tournevis sont fournis avec le kit, et sont de qualité suffisante pour le changement, il faut prendre soin de ne pas confondre les triwing et les cruciforme et tout se passe bien. Veiller aussi à être bien aligné avec la vis et à appliquer une pression suffisante pour dévisser les vis sans ripper, ce qui peut abîmer les empreintes des vis ainsi que le tournevis. J'ai utilisé pour ma par les vis originales de ma coque, mais un jeu complet de vis est fourni avec le kit. Une brucelle peut être utile pour saisir les vis minuscule. Pensez à bien ranger les vis pendant le démontage pour ne pas les confondre. Très bon produit.

Peut être pas cher il est vrai. Mais pas de cache pour la cartouche à récupérer sur l ancienne. Béquille présente mais pas la tige de fixation donc bequille inutilisable si non récupérable sur ancienne...un petit mode de montage serait sympa vu le nombre de vis de taille différente.

Color: As you can see from my pictures, the color of the shell is more of a “gold bar” than the light-yellow gold it appears to be in the seller photos. I actually really like it this way. Don’t get me wrong, either would be great, but I love the more authentic-looking gold color that this product uses. It is rich, vibrant, and quite eye-catching. Pieces: The shell came with an entire set of replacement screws, as well as the necessary screwdriver bits and two unique screw drivers. Also included were two mesh pieces for the auxiliary vents on the shell, and pre-cut stress-dampening sponge pieces. I’ve heard bad things about the screwdriver bits, so I didn’t end up even attempting to use them as I already had the necessary tools. I ended up electing to use the default kickstand piece rather than the gold one from this kit mostly for personal preferences, though it did seem slightly less sturdy than the original anyway when I had initially installed it to see how it would look. Definitely still stands fine, but it doesn’t have that nice “click” into place like the default stand seems to- or it didn’t when I installed mine. Overall this is an excellent piece that came in perfect condition with a generous amount of supplies. Just use caution when unscrewing, as the screws in the switch are installed quite firmly in place. Remember that if you start to strip a screw, it would be wise to replace it with one of the new ones included in the kit. It isn’t worth risking fully stripping it later and all the headaches that might cause. Great work, seller! I will definitely shop with you again soon and recommend you to all my friends!
