My Sight Words Workbook: 101 High-Frequency Words Plus Games & Activities!

This book truly helped my 1st grader to grasp sight words easily. We would do 2-3 pages a day and then write the words on a flash card. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it as a quick learning tool for parents who don’t have a lot of time in the evening!

My daughter is autistic and little behind on her reading and writing skills. Typically it is hard to get her do anything, but the way this book is designed it works on her tracing skills, reading skills and recognizing the words. Each page is like an all-inclusive lesson and she has been enjoying working in this after school. I love this and will be ordering more in the future.

I am teaching my 4 year old sight words and this workbook is awesome! All the basic sight words are covered. I like that each page has the word in the top corner, then the child traces the word several times and write it themselves several times. Then there's a section for them to color a picture where they only color that sight word to help with word recognition. Also for each word, they cut out the letters from the bottom of the page and paste it into a sentence. My daughter loves this workbook and I like that each page doesn't take more than 5 minutes so it keeps her attention, while still helping her learn.

The content for this book is wonderful and will be perfect for my kindergartener this semester. The only thing I would prefer to be different is for it to have perforated pages. The notebook does lay flat fairly well, so it will work out fine. At the bottom of each lesson there is a neat little activity to cut out the letters of the sight word and glue them in the correct order. I think it would also be helpful for this if the pages were perforated OR if all of the words to cut out were on their own separate page. Like I said, the content is wonderful, there would just be a few things that would be make it more convenient in my opinion.

Arrived within timescale. Bought for my 5 year old who is in reception during lockdown. Love that it’s very colourful and getting her used to writing all of her high frequency words. She loves that it’s nice and colourful and enjoys working her way through it. Also bought the phonics one which she loves.

Feel happy to receive the book at the beginning, after that feel so disappointed when seeing the book is written by others..

My son likes it a lot. It is easy, but makes fun and they learn, without realising it. Great book. They learn writing, combining, scissoring and glueing. Don't know any German book who teaches those skills with fun.
