If putting this next to an existing carpet, do you need something for the edge?

Thank you for your interest in 4urFloor. It depends on how the existing carpet is attached to the floor. If the edge is attached, there would not be a reason for a transition piece. Our assorted carpet tile has two pieces of polyacrylic double sided tape that is close enough to two of the edges, to keep the tile attached to the floor. I hope this helps. Thank you, 4urFloor

Can you use padding under this priduct? If so, what would be recommended?

Mr. Simmons, Carpet padding is not recommended with carpet tiles.

Is there any guarantee that each box will contain an assortment of colors and not just browns n blues?
