But, in my opinion, the games still look, play, and feel pretty darn close to the originals. They're a whole lot of fun, and they do make me nostalgic for my old Atari 2600. Just holding this Atari joystick in my hand makes me feel like a kid again! As for the replication and the different sound effects, I've had no problem getting used to them. It Broke After Only 5 Minutes *by F***R on May 18, 2004* I couldn't wait to take myself back in time. I went out and bought a 24 pack of "AA" Batteries because I thought I'd be playing all night long every night after work. I put in 4 new batteries plugged the "Joystick" into my TV and turned it on. I selected Asteroids and immediately slumped back into my easy chair to start shooting away. After 5 minutes of game play the phone rang. I shut the unit off to take the call. When I came back I turned it on and NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! There was nothing but a Green Screen on my TV. I shut it off again checked the wires and the TV then powered it on again. Same thing NOTHING BUT A GREEN SCREEN. Tried the reset switch and still no picture. Tried connecting the "Joystick to 4 other TV's and still NOTHING. Replaced the brand new batteries after only 5 minutes of gameplay AND STILL NOTHING!!!!! (...) The idea of being able to play all of the old ATARI video games is great but this "JOYSTICK" is nothing but JUNK!!!
