They are made of aluminum nickel and cobalt and work under normal conditions and temperatures. They come with removable keepers. This power alnico type magnet is a horseshoe type and is 2 oz size, and has a 13 lb pull. It is 1-1/8" wide with center hole for attachment.

I needed a strong magnet for my Kokoist gel nail polish and I read somewhere to try a U-shaped magnet. Wow, this is perfect! I removed the base, painted a nail, and slowly slid my finger under the magnet and it magnetized the particles perfectly! It was the least amount of work required to magnetize the particles. Perfect for DIY nails.
