Papo Roaring Lion Toy Figure , 8.5cm

This roaring lion looks fierce and confident. He stands out in my collection. He has a better paint job than the Papo females, like more details and richer colors.

IMO opinion this is the best lion at this scale and in this price range. A fantastic piece and perhaps it’s difficult to capture the essence of the lion since it seems so many manufacturers seem to get the lion wrong. Maybe it’s due to the mane, I don’t know what it is but it seems many companies make a solid to great lioness, but the lion, not so much. Suffice to say, this is the only one I truly like at the moment. With some repainting on my end, I might like the safari ltd XL lion as well.

This lion is a beautiful little model, and is exceptionally detailed down to his furry coat, tense paws, and the veins on his legs. He is a solid, heavy plastic with some “give” in his tail and legs. This lion is slightly smaller than the other Papo male lion, but only as though he were a slightly smaller or younger animal. However, I was disappointed that the paint detailing is nowhere near as realistic as the photo. I received a genuine Papo lion, and like other reviewers am mildly dissatisfied with the level of realism. However, as I bought him to go into a miniature scene, I don’t mind refinishing him so he looks more realistic.

In the dimensions it says this lion is 9.45” long, but if you scroll down deeper in the description it says 5.91”. You think you’re ordering a nice lion toy but it’s more like a small figurine. I tried to return it the same day I received it and it says I can’t return. What a scam.

Al tatto si percepisce subito la qualità dei materiali, solidi e resistenti, che li rendono perfetti anche come pezzi da collezione. C’è però un aspetto da considerare: alcuni modelli risultano piuttosto pesanti. Nulla di grave per un adulto, ma se in mano a bimbi piccoli e un po’ vivaci possono diventare “pericolosi” se lanciati durante il gioco. Nel complesso, sono prodotti eccellenti, che uniscono gioco e realismo. Li consiglio a famiglie con bambini un po’ più grandi o a chi vuole regalare un gioco educativo, resistente e con un fascino unico.
