Review: Finger tip assist vs thumb assist to open - Another great knife from Kershaw at amazing ‘Prime Day’ price. The assisted opening is a little tough on finger tip to activate compared to my other Kershaw which uses thumb assist to open. Looks good and well made as expected. Just need to toughen up my finger tip a little.

**Q: What type of screw head are the screws for the clip? They look like torx but it's hard to tell from the picture**
A: Yes they are torx. Very sturdy picket clip.

**Q: does your liner lock feel sticky, hard to 'unlock' ,mine does slightly and i was curious if they were made that way.**
A: Mine seems a little slow to open but I just got it.  I feel like it is starting to flick open faster now after a week or so.  I am hoping it just needs to get worn in a little.  I suppose its possible some come with weaker springs.  I purchased a Kershaw Brawler at the same time and that flicks open with a little more authority.  Its blade is half an inch shorter though which would make it open easier than the fatback.  I just ordered another Fatback so I can see what that one is like.  This is a pretty sweet knife for the price.

**Q: The tip has broken off my knife is this covered under warranty?**
A: Go find a belt sander and you can put a new tip on it by grinding the back edge of the blade, to remove Enough material to make a new point. I had to do this on my first one after I snapped the tip off. I lament the loss of the black oxide on the back edge, but beggars can’t be choosers. 

Now that I know that they’ll replace the blade for 10 bucks I may exercise that option, though as others have stated, it’s a workhorse, not a showhorse, she’ll still take me where I want to go :-p

**Q: What type of washers does this knife have? Nylon or bronze?**
A: While I have not taken the knife apart, using a very powerful light, I was able to determine that the washers appear to be bronze.  I cannot determine if they also have thin plastic/nylon washers as well which is something I have noted on other knives.  I can say that the action on my knife is very smooth despite not having cleaned and oiled it in some time.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ D2, SpeedSafe, and Kershaw... what's not to love?

Fantastic knife and I really wish Kershaw would make more D2 knives because it's such a fantastic steel. Excellent edge retention and I personally love the spear point. The only gripe I have with this is that the flipper is really small and it makes it really hard to deploy the knife, even with SpeedSafe. The reason for this is because the flipper is designed to hide into the handle perfectly. Aesthetics are awesome, but functionality should always be king. Loses a star for this reason. Other than that, this has been a wonderful knife and I love using it at every opportunity.
