The base unit they fit into is also great - bought another to have as a backup a couple of years ago, but the one I’ve had for around 10 years just keeps going and going (a new battery is needed every now and then, but it’s all very well build & designed for sure!) Anyone complaining about children not keeping them clean needs to examine their parenting. These items are not expensive but offer the benefits of a high-end unit. Maybe there are a few nooks and crannies a child might allow to get gunked up with residual toothpaste but a tiny effort made to give the brush head a good rinse in some hot water every couple of weeks or so (by any adult,) would certainly take care of that problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but I like them because they do a very thorough cleaning job ... *by B***C on January 9, 2018* These cheap toothbrushes just keep working. These replacements don't save too much money, but hey, a couple bucks add up. Portable enough that I even took my Battery toothbrush on vacation with me this year for the first time. I've had this toothbrush for at least 6 years now, and just replace the head every 2 years or so. My kids stopped using theirs, but I like them because they do a very thorough cleaning job I can feel. This keeps me from overbrushing on my gums, and has stopped my gums from receding. My gums have actually moved back to the tooth enamel. So these toothbrushes have done their job. I think my kids are just too lazy to replace the battery once or twice a year, but it is well worth it.
