Review: More useful than my online course! - I bought this text as a required text for class this summer. Turns out that it is more useful than the slides/handouts from my class. The content is well written and flows well, making it easy for a beginner to grasp the key concepts. The author also writes in a interesting style which makes it very engaging. The illustrations are well chosen and complements the text wonderfully. The practice questions are tricky and great to test grasp of knowledge. I recommend this text fully. I tried the practice questions in the online access materials and they generally supplement what is in the textbook. Some typo/technical errors exists in the online questions though.

I bought this book for my coursework as an MPH student. I really enjoyed reading this book because it is a very easy read and the authors incorporate examples that make the concepts easy to learn. I found it to be extremely helpful. My professor did not assign the questions in the book for homework, but after reading a chapter, I always look at the questions to see if I can answer them. I love how this book has the answers in the back so that you check your understanding. Also, the figures presented throughout the chapter are all relevant and help to illustrate the concepts.
