Locks are fine and do as advertised
I have purchased these in the past (not on amazon). I’m sorry but I have to call “BS” on the 24 ways to defeat the locking system. I have worked on printers for over 30 years and I can only think of four ways to defeat these locks. Every lock can be beaten. They have different levels of deterrence. The four ways that I know are: 1. Brute force, 2. Picking the lock, 3. Accessing the tray from the rear (on models with an open back), 4. From the top on models in which you can separate the trays. Can you help me out and name the other 20? One more question. If you buy a lock for your front door and some one breaks into your kitchen window, do you blame the front door lock?

Ineffective
When used to secure a paper tray of a laser printer this product should only be viewed as a deterrent rather than a lock. I've identified more than 24 different methods that can be used to remove the print media in under 30 seconds from a laser printer that uses this product. As a result the user is provided with a false sense of security. Theft of just a few prescription forms or checks is all that is needed to cause great damage. For example a father and son in New York passed 462 forged prescription from prescription forms that they stole. As a result the put more than 51,000 pills on the street. This is less than one paper tray worth of prescription forms. So you don't need to steal the entire paper tray of media to cause big damage. However to protect low value print media such as copier paper this could be viewed as a adiquate product. But I strongly disagree with the sellers description that this is adiquite to protect prescription forms and checks
