does the job well

This is an excellent device which appears robust. The glass is good quality and quite thick, giving this a robust feel. I have used others and the glass can give the impression of being fragile - this is not like that. I've used on one batch of distillate and the guage reads pretty much as I expect, which gives some confidence on accuracy. I'd need to test on some known samples to be fully confident but it is close enough for home use. The plastic case is very helpful the protect this when not in use. It's robust enough to protect when in a drawer, or for low drops onto the floor, but obviously still need care as this is a glass product. Very good and we should get plenty of use over the winter as we distil from surplus fruits.

Work as they should

Why did you choose this product over others?: Absolutely terrible,I made some alcohol and I put this device in and it floated to the top no reading at all,so I put it in Baileys coffee liquor which is 17% and it did exactly the same no reading at all 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

Cheap enough and seems to work though I have nothing to compare it to / check it against so I will have to just use the readings as a guide only.

Very useful as I often buy a 95% abv (190 proof) polish vodka, which needs too be tempered down to about 40'ish% abv (80 proof). To make it drinkable without burning my throat and stomach out
