While not great quality, they are very usable on soft wood and other soft materials.We used these to carve candles (see pictures) and they performed very well. Okay, I paid $1.85 for these so it would be hard to justify a complaint. I think of these as disposable chisels. The handles are light and the overall quality is average but for the price - it's another tool that can sit in the toolbox for the day I need it - at which point they will be priceless.

I am a gourd carver and experimenting with new carving methods. I have carved on what I call Green Gourd carving. These tools are excellent for my needs.They arrived as described I will purchase from this seller again.

I bought these knowing that they were cheap little things, but I thought they would last longer than 15 minutes. That is how long it was before one broke. I bought them to experiment with carving, so now I'm going to buy a really nice set. Save your $5.
