The Keurig Brewer Cleanse Kit is a win for cleaning the crud out of my single serve Keurig. I used half the bottle and one rinse pod rather than a full bottle since my machine is smaller. It worked perfectly, and I will have a treatment for the next cleanse. It was quick to clean even running a half dozen cups of water through to flush it after. I really needed this for my sluggish Keurig and the coffee tastes amazing as a result.

This kit is very easy to use and very effective. We have one of the OG Keurigs, and it hasn’t been descaled in at least 3 years. (Judge me, idc.) The cleaning power of the descaling solution was really impressive. It was satisfying (and gross) to see just how much gritty, white, mineral junk was being cleaned out of our machine. We didn’t use the rinse pods, so I was better off just purchasing the descaling solution by itself, but whatever. It’s definitely a good purchase to keep your Keurig healthy. *PRO TIP: The instructions tell you to run 12 rinse brews to rinse all of the solution out. Do like, 4-5 more than that. It’s annoying and time-consuming, but trust me. The solution doesn’t taste good.

I have an older model Keurig with a internal water storage area which I had never thoroughly cleaned. I read the pros and cons of this method versus white vinegar. Since this is not done often, I didn't want to take the cheaper route with the vinegar and risk spoiling the taste of the coffee afterwards. I feel this is an expensive solution, but it did work with no unpleasant taste once the process was finished. You do have to make sure you follow the directions exactly and it takes awhile to run through all the water cycles to make sure the product has done its work and is rinsed out of the coffee maker. I will use it again in the future.

Definitely works well. It's a lot of steps, but it really does clean out the machine, if you follow the directions precisely. No after taste at all.

Also available (sometimes cheaper depending on how the sale price falls) is the *3 Month Brewer Care Kit* which is exactly the same, except it includes two water filter cartridge refills. At the time of writing, the price difference is less than a dollar. Water filters are available separately as both the brand version and from other manufacturers, so you may prefer this kit over the other. Living in a very hard water area we've been through several Keurig's and they've almost certainly died because they get clogged up with limescale deposits despite the fact that we use the filters, and filtered water. The one we've currently got has outlived them all, and I put that down to the fact that we now use these care kits every three months (it's on the calendar). Make sure you have time to spare and have had your coffee before hand, because descaling is a pretty intensive process and involves multiple refills. The instructions are clear and the difference before and after is noticeable. The descaling solution smells a little, so make sure you flush it out properly as per the instructions. You don't need to use all the items at the same time - in fact it's suggested that the rinse pods be used after any strong flavored beverage, and the water filters are changed on a slightly different schedule than the descaling. Obviously your mileage may vary depending on your water type. Friends of ours have a water softener and haven't had to do this once. All in all, after using this kit the Keurig seems to run more smoothly and quickly. Will continue to use these.
